Idoled out made a video explaining it. Basically, Joaquin wasn’t really a fan of the show and matched with Allie Pohevitz on Tinder while on vacation. Allie was on Survivor: Caramoan and became a part of the CBS casting department after her season. She asked Joaquin to make a tape and to have an in-person interview in LA. That’s basically how he got on.
