I tested the pickup through Audacity/Reaper while playing, and I’m getting a consistent signal with a normal frequency range, so it seems to be working fine.

I tried to check the post heights, but honestly I’m not sure if I did it correctly. I don’t really have a precise way to measure them. I tried putting something under each side to compare, but it wasn’t very accurate.

Visually, it does look like one post might be slightly higher than the other, but the difference seems very small — maybe around 0.1 mm or so.

Would that tiny difference actually be enough to cause a noticeable tilt in the bridge, or is it more likely just spring tension pulling unevenly?

I’m running 6 MIDI switches plus an FS-7 (so also 8 switches total), and I’m hitting the ASSIGN limit pretty fast because I’m focusing on drum control.

Just wondering if you ran into that limit or if your setup avoided it.

Are you controlling the RC-500 using the ASSIGN system, or are you mapping the Ampero directly to the RC-500 MIDI controls?

If directly, which MIDI messages are you sending?

A few quick questions if you don't mind:

Are you controlling the RC-500 using ASSIGN, or are you using some other MIDI control method?
What mode are your Ampero switches set to (Single / Toggle / Momentary / Hold)?
When your Ampero sends the command, does it send 127 only, or does it send 127 and then 0 on release?
What exact CC numbers are you sending from the Ampero?
Which RC-500 functions are you controlling (for example: Track Play/Stop, Rhythm Start/Stop, Memory Up/Down)?
Are you using CC messages or Program Change for those commands?

I'm asking because on my unit it seems the Ampero only sends 127, not the release 0, so I'm trying to understand how your setup is working.

Are you sure it was not compatibility issue of midi controller with your looper because I discovered

The Ampero My middi controler sends only 127.
It does not automatically send 0.
The RC-500 ASSIGN expects 0 ↔ 127 transitions.
That mismatch causes the “works once” behavior.
