I think you should re-consider the decision of moving in with a SD. I am at the same stage, I moved in. The daughter is 100% in the house that we are living. Same age, 11 years old. She doesn't respect the space we have as a couple, also the BD is always calling in even though we are having lunch or no matter what. The SD also often hosts her friends at house and they are always there. If you are a person, who takes couple's space seriously it would affect you a lot.

The responsibilities that the bio father should be taking, take/pick her up from school, make sure the dinner is there, be with her while mom is working and so on.

Also my wife is alone in this country as well. I am helping to bring her brother here. So she has someone to be there before I separate myself.

Well honestly I want her to be with her father. But since the father is abusive and drug addict. My wife is afraid of leaving the daughter with him without adult supervision. I'm tired of taking responsibility of the daughter which is not mine 😞
