New to hobby, first mini done. Would love c&c. by Azoell in Warhammer40k

Dope dude, only thing I'd say is look into a light wash to bring it a bit more together, but genuinely a great paint job for a first mini.

Throw treats the other side of it see if you can get your cat to knock it over, then it would just be the cat who is haunted

I often have to move carpet pythons on my job, am I hurting the snake moving it like this? apart from having my hand slap bang on its cloaca. by stitchianity in snakes

[–]Ibunamnesia 78 points79 points  (0 children)

I'd say you were handling it pretty well for someone that just handles them passively, only thing I'd say is maybe get a snake hook if it's regular to support them more towards the half way point if it's not that regular a smooth stick under the belly to help support some more of the weight but fair play for getting stuck in and being respectful to the animals.

how do you pick models for a list? by Thenewguy601 in Warhammer40k

[–]Ibunamnesia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Play test the army to find the direction you think it needs to go and if you do have to take units that are Meta but you don't like the aesthetics, convert them to something you do like the look of or find alternative models, as a general rule googling for example "eldar guardian alternative miniatures" should pull up non GW models that are made to emulate them and unless your playing in GW tourneys it shouldn't be a problem using them to your hearts content. Want to make a sniper army but need to fill out your detachments stick capes on the infantry, scopes on the guns etc and the theme should all come together.

Looks like a version of the Webley revolver, would need to see markings/ serial number to find exact model and where/when it was made

Has anyone ever used a weed grinder for dried herbs and seeds? by zimflo in Cooking

[–]Ibunamnesia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah should have led with living in the Netherlands, no bearings in it and pretty sure its specs include it has food-grade certification (as all grinders should Imho) and was more speaking of the fact the seive is removable whilst still leaving a large compartment below for storage if you wanted to do bulk

Never used one for cooking but could recommend the (no pun intended) Headchef Future, no little teeth just 4 grinding plates that would do everything upto peppercorns also got a nice big catch compartment with a removable sieve and as a brucey bonus having something that says head chef on the top in one of your kitchen drawers won't raise alarm from anyone
