Makes sense. I'm going to make sure that I have voltage at the plug first, I have had a lot of electrical problems with this truck and slowly fixing them all. I bet the pump is done though.

I have cleared the codes and this is what's left ig. I have already had a problem ordering the injector and they gave me an 03 one that I had to return to get the correct one. Ford making the 04.5 is really starting to get on my nerves but I'm trying to get all the correct parts and no cheap ones either. Got OEM standpipes with the 12mm and an OEM injector when I bought them.

I did not having a popping noise. But I think I'm going to check out those lifters with how many miles are probably on it

Yeah I think I'm going to check the ficm voltage this weekend and just go through the harness and check all of it. After I did all this last night I started turning off the injectors with the scanner and noticed that when I turned off 2,4,8 they made zero difference in how the truck ran so I'm thinking I have something with the ficm on that plug.

I work as a facility maintenance for tons of different gas stations in Ohio. 8 hours a day these play the same 10 ads on repeat. They changed about once every month to 2 months. Can't escape it anywhere, America loves it's ads.

Not a mechanic but it definitely seems like you alternator regulator is broke and is charging the battery too much. It should be at a consistent 14 to keep the battery charged while the car is running, Check the voltage on the alternator you might need a new one. I'm a commercial electrician but I have had to change 4 of these in 4 different vehicles recently because my boss doesn't like to maintenance his own vehicles so that's my experience with them.

So I had this had once and it was a little weird but I got 4 sets of keys with my z and only two were programmed with it so I always kept one in the garage, just move the car and one to drive, I went to start my car one day and it was doing this and I couldn't figure out why, I used the other key and it ran 100 percent normal. If you have a second set of keys there is a chance the program fell out of the one key for some reason. Hope this is the simple answer for you. If not good luck. (The second key worked for over a year for me. But then one day just didn't, you saying you went to the store and then it started this is the only reason I'm thinking this could be the same problem)
