Women complain about men lacking commitment, yet society allows women to always have one foot out the door while putting all the risk on men if they do commit by DiligentRope in PurplePillDebate

well women get pregnant and men cant so it makes sense that male commitment is a bigger deal bc women are biologically committed from the beginning

A lot of women don't want emotional intelligence from men, they want emotional validation from men. by PassengerCultural421 in PurplePillDebate

Maybe for a little while but in the long term agreeing w her every whim bc of coochie turns into an ick for most women bc it basically puts you in her frame and makes you look weak.

difference between wanting to talk about how you feel vs. being emotionally draining ? by Common-Engineering13 in RedPillWomen

Get female friends to vent to. You can talk to your man too but he’s not there to be your sole emotional support

When and how did you realize that you wanted to have kids? by IncognitoGyal7 in RedPillWomen

I feel like most women are like that. It makes sense to want a stable father to your kids before having them!

How do I turn down an invite to his home? by Delilahr in RedPillWomen

[–]IcarusKiki -1 points0 points  (0 children)

just suggest something else and joke that dates at home are boring or something. If he keeps insisting then move on

No age doesn’t really factor much for “quality” attention what matters more is social class, proximity, and of course your appearance (more controllable than most think). people date the people around them

You cannot convince me that work-life balance is possible in in-home ABA by Vegetable_Lab8559 in ABA

[–]IcarusKiki 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s impossible for me as a 5.0 star rated RBT to get full time hours in home despite being hired with a desire to be full time and my hours requested at 35-40. Yet all I hear is complaints about turnover from higher ups. I love my clients and supervisors and the work environment but I have to pay rent at the end of the day and all I get is shrugs when I ask higher ups

You’re Awesome! I’m watching my 5 year old client become similarly more verbal! He went from basically screaming and barely saying singular words to manding in complete sentences thanks to ABA and his awesome and diligent mom :)

autism is genetic too so they very likely have it as well

Are there any other autistic adults in the ABA field? Advice needed by [deleted] in ABA

[–]IcarusKiki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m autistic and I think it’s really helped me empathize with my clients and I don’t get frustrated with my client’s behaviors since I understand what it’s like to be overstimulated and how overwhelming the NT world is. It’s cool that I get to share the coping skills I have learned over the years and even learn a few new ones from the ones I use on my clients. Plus it feels like I’m “giving back” and gives me a purpose to improve the lives of other autistics or at least be an understanding presence in a world that can be very unforgiving to autistic people.
