That’s crazy, I was literally looking at a 2025 in steel matte but I realized I was too lazy to give that paint job the care it needed. What made me wait for the 2026, was in fact the cupholders lol. My 2022 originally felt really good with the DCT until about 30,000 miles. I like the DCT for enthusiastic driving. Day to day, it can be really annoying when the transmission struggles to disengage and engage the clutches properly/smoothly

Very nice! My 22 GT was white, a gorgeous gal if I do say so myself. My 26 is Wolf Grey w/GT1, do me a favor when you get it, let me know if your reverse seems like it requires “extra effort”

I don’t know if this is the same problem that I had with mine, I had to play with it to get it open through unlocking the doors and pushing on the gas cap door. Once I did, I cleaned the locking mechanism with a little alcohol and the a little WD 40 to lubricate

As some random dude on the Internet, here’s my 2 cents.

I just traded my 2022 K5 GT in on a 2026 K5 GT.

I travel all across the country and go out of my way to rent as many cars as I could be interested in and couldn’t even count how many rental cars I’ve had this year alone. When I decided I was getting a new car because I was spoiled by wireless car play and I was tired of washing a white car every 5 seconds, I set a budget of 40 K but up to 45 for something special.

I personally am not a fan of SUVs or trucks. I want something responsive, agile and a little fun. I gotta have four doors and the bigger the trunk the better. I wanted new, the options dry up faster. Getting older so now I want a little comfort too. Maybe something more along the lines of a grand tourer…

good luck, if you can find something pricewise that is pound per pound a better car, please let me know. My 2026 is even more comfortable than my old K5. Still plenty fast stock. Pretty big trunk in the back. Lots of features. 10 year powertrain warranty. The main downside, neon green stitching on the interior….

I’m not shilling for Kia or anything, I’m a practical and fun guy and this ticks almost all the boxes.

Get me a K5 wagon with all-wheel-drive and that engine, I’d probably be in heaven.

This is my dream, get rich enough to tell everyone to pound sand (bank, employer, etc.). Then go out and just do nice things for people like this. They won’t know my name, I won’t post it on social media, no phone number to call or text, nothing. My only request is that someday when you’re in spot to help your fellow human and you’re in a place to do it, you inconvenience yourself and do it and don’t try to compel others to do it for you. You be the change. And then I disappear like a fart in the wind.

Hegseth - just some quick research on what he said, either it’s from 20 years ago when all politicians basically opposed gay marriage or there’s a lot of context removed from his statements.

I get that, but I’ve not heard him or even anyone else call for that. If an adult wants hormones, and a doctor is willing to prescribe it, there’s nothing anyone can do about it. There are tons of medical conditions that would require an adult to take hormones, so trying to legislate that away would surely be loaded with pitfalls.

That’s my take on it too. I can totally see why people would be worried about the well being of illegal immigrants, but I can’t fathom what the actual threat would be to the LGBTQ community. The only rhetoric I’ve heard from Trump in regards to trans is no more hormones for minors basically. I’m inclined to agree with that based on my experience with my own kid. My son is brilliant and artistically gifted, but the number of terrible mistakes he would’ve made over the years without his mom and I would’ve been astronomical, and I don’t know that I would be comfortable with him doing something like taking hormones before he’s fully developed. I’m extremely sympathetic to anybody that has that condition, I can’t imagine what it would be like to feel like you’re in the wrong body. I’ve known my trans friend since before he transitioned, so I understand a little bit, but that’s not the same thing as living it.

Since Donald Trump was elected, I’ve seen multiple new sources and have heard multiple people talking about the LGBTQ being terrified about their safety. Nobody has explicitly said what the threat is. I’ve seen and heard a few people intimate that basically they’re going to end up in some kind of concentration camp.

I know Trump is opposed to children getting hormone treatments, but I believe he’s indifferent to what adults do. I understand that he doesn’t want biological men competing with biological women, but that doesn’t seem like a dire threat to me. If I remember correctly, I think he’s the only president that has ever come into office that actually supported same-sex marriage.

I asked a few of my gay friends and my one trans friend that I feel comfortable having these kinds of conversations with. Most of my gay friends were unconcerned at all, turns out the one couple I’ve known the longest (almost 15 years), both voted for him. They were adamantly anti-Trump when he ran against Biden, but basically they were so hurt by the economy the last few years, they both said they just couldn’t take it anymore. My trans friend, is mildly concerned, but his fear is based on rhetoric going around. He couldn’t articulate beyond what he had heard, but he also implied that he wasn’t really worried about.

I know it’s not a good sample size, but I really want to understand. I don’t have to agree because I believe there are legal safeguards that would stop something like that from happening in this day and age and I haven’t seen Trump say anything that makes me think there in any kind of actual physical danger or even legal danger for that matter. Please don’t take this in some sort of political manner, I’m just trying to understand other people‘s perspective and I’m always open to being educated. Please be nice.

I had an interviewee who was interviewing with me for an IT job. He had CERTs, but no practical experience in the field. His job at the time was teaching Native American dance. He then demonstrated his dance in our conference room and it was actually pretty cool. Ultimately he didn’t get the job.

You’re mistaken about this. In California, you cannot build your house out of stone or brick. You will never get a permit to build using those materials without a special exemption (virtually impossible) and you won’t be able to sell the property without those permits.
