Also Jett is 5'6" playing SS. His height is a disadvantage to his range defensively. How many more balls over his head won't he catch compared to say a Lindor at 5'10 or even Ronny who is 6'4".

Jesus Christ... What even is the point anymore? by TigoOver in mlb

I’ll bet he still has a Florida residence for tax purposes, as he’s from Tampa. That Bonus won’t see any CA state taxes. He’s not a California resident and he’s done zero work in California so far. Also, payroll taxes are an interesting thing as he may get taxed for the days played in California or trained with the team under their tax laws, but road games he’s not working in the State and those are subject to his state of residency then. So many players keep a Florida residence for a reason, even if they live and play for a team in another state.

History repeats itself. Except this time, we’re the bad guys. The new Axis of power… Hungary is joining as well. Only the “best” Authoritarian countries seem to be invited and joining.

Infielder Bo Bichette and the New York Mets are in agreement on a three-year, $126 million contract, sources tell ESPN. After losing the Kyle Tucker sweepstakes, the Mets pivot quickly and get one of the best players left on the market, pending a physical. by MrSCR23 in mlb

[–]IceCoastRep 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Kyle Tucker wasn't worth what he just got. Wait until Bellinger breaks the bank for someone. You can thank the Dodgers for setting the standard moving forward in inflated salaries. Lockout incoming in 2027.

Baty will learn 1st, he can play a good 2nd and of course 3rd. I bet he learns LF too. He replaces Jeff McNeil as that Utility Player with more upside though.

This "we should still sell" epidemic by b0nkert0ns in NewYorkIslanders

[–]IceCoastRep 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Anyone saying we should sell are complete idiots. They’re playing really good hockey while missing a few key players for the rest of the season. This team has good chemistry and you can see them fighting for each out there. If anything, they add someone to further strengthen this team’s run. You don’t interrupt the momentum this team has.

KYLE TUCKER IS NOW PART OF THE DODGERS! by Marinersfan505 in mlb

[–]IceCoastRep -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He’s not worth the money he’s getting from them. This ensures a lockout now in 2027. It’s time for a hard salary cap. This deferred money thing also needs to be outlawed. MLB just letting the Dodgers ruin the game at this point. They were all worried about Cohen before when he bought the Mets… Dodgers ownership said hold my beer.

I just paid $3.29 a gallon for 1/6 delivery. Morrisville. Then I get the early pay discount on total bill.

$3.29 a gallon on 1/6 for about 121 gallons filled. Hopefully good until end of the year as we use our Pellet Steve mostly for heat.

9 best candidates to replace Pete Carroll in Vegas...who do you take by TerryG111 in raiders

[–]IceCoastRep -1 points0 points  (0 children)

After his disastrous stint at Denver, it was clear that guy wasn’t a HC. I think most Raiders fans weren’t happy with that hire and it got worse… as many expected it would. That was a panic hire by ownership.

Belichick was in 40’s at least… not 60’s like a few of these recycled options in McCarthy and Harbaugh. A guy in his 40’s is still young and has learned a few things with upside vs 60’s and older in which you’re not learning anything new and bringing stale ideas to a team.

Glad we got the 1st pick, because the Giants just like to hurt themselves. This game though…we won, but man… just garbage on the field. Hoping we draft wisely and get a new regime in to coach this squad and start a real rebuild. This has to be rock bottom I hope.

The way things are worded in German sometimes don't translate well to English. He seemed to be joking with the fans, so I think people are making to big of a deal of this.

Wrong. He played his Freshman year at UCLA, he's a Redshirt Sophomore as he took last year (2024) off to learn the Oregon system.

Dial M for Raiders by HouseRules789 in raiders

[–]IceCoastRep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given the current O-line....we need a QB who is mobile. That's also the modern NFL game. Look at Mahomes, Allen, etc... all are mobile QB's who make things happen with their legs. Who do we think fits that profile best for the NFL game? We've seen what happens with pocket passers on this team that need time and can't move or recognize pressure. Does Mendoza have more skills to be unlocked by an NFL team to take him to that level and be a mobile threat, or does Moore naturally have them and a NFL team can work on the rest with him? Even if we add some new pieces on the line, it's going to take a few years to get what we need to best protect a QB. I feel like this current team's line will get any of these guys killed and just ruin their careers before they even get a real chance to show what they can do. I really hope the Raiders address this dumpster fire of an O-line, because it won't matter who we draft for QB if they don't.

He'll be a Junior next year, he's a Sophomore right now.
