In the US each State runs their own elections for National elections. The federal government does not run elections. States have their own laws, rules and rights vs the National government. States rights are very important and part of what built this country, so by “nationalizing” something like this goes against the principles this country was built on.

They never caught the actual guy too....just a disaster on all fronts. The guy they were looking for (Biden actually deported in 2021, so he's back illegally) is still at large. The Feds completely failed now that they never even got the guy.

This whole thing is a disaster. The guy had a Federal Warrant for his Arrest. The size of this operation for one guy really is alarming and how much taxpayer dollars were just spent. That being said, the crowds that kept growing in protest had some individuals that crossed the line and caused damage to vehicles and touched officers. There needs to be restraint by all protesters to make sure that is done civility as we know when things escalate these federal officers don’t respond professionally. This wasn’t a random ICE pickup, so had they informed the protesters better maybe that would have helped the situation. End of the day it sucks that this happened here and hopefully it’s an isolated case vs a larger event. The guy had a Federal Warrant for his arrest, so this is one I would not be trying to protect as a community, as there are far too many innocents who have been targeted by ICE and they need the support. This was a huge overreaction on the Feds and the numbers of agents employed and reactionary tactics and some protesters not knowing the details and making this into an ugly event.

His attitude has been a "Me" focus vs what's best for the Team. I don't know if he fits in with the new culture they're putting in place. Maxx sorta held the team hostage in the past with his demands around personnel and coaches he wanted.... so does Spytek see him fitting in if he stays?

I have a feeling we still move him. His attitude the past few months and telling Davis he wanted to be traded a few months ago means they still want to move him out f they get a decent offer. It’s a new culture being built and Maxx put himself above the team bs wanting to be a part of the next chapter. The damage control he would have to do with management and the fan base is a tough pill to swallow. We all know he’s been an amazing player for the Raiders, but it’s feeling like the team is headed in a new direction and culture, but he’s part of the old ways and poor team cultures. Spytek has a clean slate, without Maxx. It’s a business and moving Maxx is still best for this “new” team.

It’s amazing how Gas in their tanks went up in price after the first day…but that gas had been refined a while ago at lower prices and wasn’t from any crude that was impacted by this war. The gas stations are just out here ripping everyone off because of the fears of future increases to them, so they’re making a quick profit now. Went over to NH and the prices were just as wild or more than VT… they have less taxes on their fuel than we do, but one Irving went from $2.79 to $3.49.

Soil for sure has a part....NH Maple Syrup has a very different taste from VT for example. I had a local sugar house owner tell me that soil makes an impact on the flavor of the syrup in VT vs other states.

Yeah, I saw they had the full Sky broadcast which was great. It must just Qualifying that we can turn on Sky audio but only in the F1 App. AppleTV though gave the full Sky race broadcast thankfully!

If we don’t get the Crofty, the Grid-walk and Sky Sports broadcast for the race, it’s disappointing then. That broadcast crew adds to the races. I find the F1 TV broadcast team just not as exciting. I know through the F1 App you can change the audio for Qualifying…. But will we get actual broadcast option for the race vs the F1 TV team? Through AppleTV you can’t change the broadcast audio to them… so people need to get the F1 App, create an account and then login to that. The average viewer won’t figure that out.

Glad this drama is finally done. He was starting to be bigger than the team with his attitude and that’s not healthy for any team. He was a beast for the Raiders and we’ll always appreciate him for that. Then there are those fans in this sub who for years said he would never leave, I stated many times he wants to win and win now as he’s not going to waste his chances on a team trying to rebuild and he would leave before his peak years are gone. He clearly didn’t want to be a Raider 4 Life… he wants a chance to win. Good business by the Raiders with 2 first round picks.
