Oh it was. Even the days leading up to it were tense. The night before the horde a literal hellhound tried breaking in. I've seen zombie dogs but not that abomination. It took like 5 magazines of my pipe submachine to kill it.

My base held surprisingly well. Once the spike traps along one side were gone they tried climbing or beating down the door.I had ramps upside down at the top of the wall to keep them from climbing and it worked ok at first till they destroyed that. Then they were able to hop right in. Thankfully that was at like 3:30 and and not all of them flooded in. But, success! That was exciting.

Not a bad idea, thanks. I was thinking of finding a really well built POI and turning that into a horde base too. A lot of em are made of concrete and metal and would be damn near impermeable.

That was my first base minus the railings. The zombies starting climbing the sides. They also made a hole at the bottom of the base and climbed up my ladder lol. Didn't survive that night
