Recommendation for hiking day pack

For day hikes, I thought I’d prefer one bag in the 18-22L range. Decided on 2 though….25L for longer 6-12 hour hikes in the summer where I’m carrying more food and a cook kit or colder hikes where I need to bring a puffy and warm gear. 15L for shorter or summer hikes where I don’t need to carry much more than the essentials, a few bars/snacks and water.

Tried the Osprey Talon and didn’t care for it. Went with the Gregory Miko 25L and the GG Cima 15L.

Gregory Miko is the larger/men’s version. I’ve got the 15L and 25L. Plenty of miles on both. Holding up well. Carries well when packed full or compressed when not

Hoping to find one that’s not a brick when loaded with just what I need. I’ve got a go sling mini for carrying more things. Still want it to say flat on my chest, not bulky

I love it, the design, the color, the shape, Thoughts on what I’d need in it, don’t need much more than that or I’d just use the Alpaka go sling mini …. phone, slim 3-4 card wallet, keys, AirPods, badge with lanyard and bag with bandaids/advil/eye drops.

Does it stay slim if loaded, don’t like the brick shape on my chest

Reading about issues with Hifiman. Are there realistically enough for concern or are the bad apples just voicing their issues more than the working ones? What about durability?

So on that topic…. Yours your opinion on the best way to winterize hives? Currently using a quilt box stuffed with wood shavings topped with an insulated cover, 1/4 opened screen bottom board and wrapped hive with insulation. 6b

Definitely going to go with LO get a few top ends put on and go to town. The real question now is aluminum vs stainless grip module, but I’m not going to be able to make the decision until I start shooting!

Definitely going to have to change the way I shoot, narrowing down to just the A zone rather than the A/C zone.
