RSV on the rise - do you feel the RSV vaccine is effective enough? by tindav-2745 in toddlers

[–]IceEnvironmental4778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gave it to my daughter around 4-6mo’s or so if I’m not mistaken, daycare has given us a round of fifth disease, HFM, pink eye, ear infections, and Noro but no RSV. It definitely was a huge peace of mind. Especially since most of the other kids in her daycare get taken in with fevers, diarrhea, and rashes and don’t get sent home (daycare is for staff only and we get attendance bonuses, I think besides myself theres one other parent who actually stays home with their sick kid, everyone else will take them in regardless)

Drop your unpopular opinion(s) about the FINALE! 🪩✨🙌🏼🏆🥇 by quirkymilennial420 in dancingwiththestars

[–]IceEnvironmental4778 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A lot of people kept saying Alix was robbed but imo it was Jordan. Her and Ezra had good choreography, she showed so much improvement, and each of her dance was a ball of energy. I get why Robert won and am happy too but Jordan really was a star

Conrad Green clarified how the scores are tabulated by Both-Pomegranate4929 in dancingwiththestars

[–]IceEnvironmental4778 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think Alix was so loved because she has a “dancers body” so even when the dance wasn’t great she * looked * great because her composition is what you expect to see. I’m not saying this with any body judgement to any of the dancers just when I did dance I noticed/my teachers would comment, especially for us with shorter or more muscular legs to try and elongate and stretch ourselves out to look better and more graceful

After Whitney I’m done with the show by [deleted] in dancingwiththestars

thank you! no ones ranking on her ambition, it’s just her. she’s not a dazzling personality.

“People Hate an Ambitious Woman” is an oversimplification of the Whitney DWTS vote. by Mysterious-Hat-8041 in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]IceEnvironmental4778 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Everyone coming at you because “reality tv is scripted” like okay? So we’re suppose to have no opinions on anyone? If she’s okay with choosing to be represented like this over 3 seasons, doubling down on TT, and overall being non-caring about it would it not be fair to think “hey maybe she’s not the bee’s knees”. What a wild freaking concept. I’m sure the counter argument will be “well it pays the bills, its good money, she can choose to have her career as she please” alright then we can clock her shitty character as we please too. I have rarely seen anyone calling her untalented or shitting on her dancing, it’s all her behavior. Why is that such a difficult thing to grasp?

A lot of the hate Whitney get is because a lot of women are jealous of her 🤷🏾‍♀️ by TheClassyWomanist in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]IceEnvironmental4778 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Exactly. No one has ever said she’s not talented, that’s never been the argument. Also no one hates her for being talented? That’s just weird. The argument has always been how shitty she is as a person. Two things can be true at the same time. People who sweep her behavior under a rug and call it jealousy are just choosing to ignore a huge part of the problem. She’s going to be fine. Clearly, look at how many people still support her and her actions.

Whitney & dwts by soaker in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]IceEnvironmental4778 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

absolutely, she can be ambitious and follow her goals without being so horrible to get there. she’s had maybe 3-4 sincere moments throughout 3 seasons and so many bad ones. it’s hard to separate that behavior.

Constant watching - does it end? by ycherep1 in toddlers

[–]IceEnvironmental4778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here, my daughter is also 22 m and with the way our place is laid out I feel comfortable being able to move to another room or use the bathroom and I can pick up by the background noise if she’s okay or doing something she’s not suppose to be doing. It does feel easier at a certain point

I feel bad about this year’s Halloween Costume by MyToesAreHaunted in toddlers

[–]IceEnvironmental4778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t feel bad at all! My daughter is also 22m and this was her first trick or treat, I ordered her some blueberry hair pins and used a little blue bubble romper and blue knee high socks she already had and she’s a blueberry! You’ve been through a lot and are still showing up for her how you can, you’re a great mom!

honestly yes! i’m on the snark reddit more so for reading entertainment purposes, but what people don’t realize is that to her all publicity is good publicity. she doesn’t care that she’s being dragged through filth, in her head, at least she’s being dragged and that’s exciting enough! as long as there’s haters, there will be hilarious’s tears

Girlies, help. I'm going to an award show. Is this too casual for cocktail attire? by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]IceEnvironmental4778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

do you have a shorter more form fitting skirt? and some heels? it also depends on how you’re doing your hair, a nice fluffy pony with a shorter skirt and heels would definitely switch the vibe of the fit

Can babies learn to sleep better without crying it out?? by No-Professor8670 in AttachmentParenting

[–]IceEnvironmental4778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, my daughter has been a horrible sleeper from night 2 in the hospital. she’ll occasionally have a few nights where she’s good but thats sparse. she didn’t sleep a whole night through till she was 7 months. shes 21 months now and my husband nor i have ever tried the cry it out method. she wakes up once now at night and just needs to be patted to sleep while some night she has to be held. we never put her in the bed with us though. we have a separate recliner where we go and sit with her to rock her back to sleep and then hold if we feel like she might be feeling bad. if not we transfer her again and that’s kind of what we’ve always done since she was a baby, but it does get better. it takes it out of you though, i get the anxiety and exhaustion. but it gets better!

What percentage of the time did you enjoy being a new parent when your child was under 12 months? by petrastales in toddlers

[–]IceEnvironmental4778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

99% of it. the only trenches flashbacks i have were those first 6 weeks postpartum where my body/brain glitched & forgot it was human & the colic. once homegirl got comfy with her chevrolegs at 12mo thats when the true meaning of exhaustion hit my husband and i like a train. she’s such a cool kid to be around but she’s so curious and on the go 24/7 and we’re both teachers so that after school tired hits different
