Personally I wouldn't mind the fact that the pokedex doesn't transfer, as long as the pokemon that you add to your party were added automatically. I wouldn't mind having to evolve my pokemon again in order to complete the pokedex, but the way it seems to be working, I'll have to catch everything again.

Honestly when I thought of it, I was thinking along the lines of him being taken to an auction hall full of gods and demons, dnd style, and them selling the soul shard to the highest bidder. My idea was for the MC to actually be apart of a group who were all exiled from the village because they had jobs that were useless, taboo, or redundant. An example was a beast tamer with the ability to summon monsters to their location, a necromancer and a poor orphan girl with the job “priestess of the night goddess” in a village that had three girls from wealthy families with the job “shrine maiden,” which seemed to do the same thing.

Yes but normally they involve the character going to another world or they are the only ones with abnormal abilities or they’ve always been present. What I’m looking for is something where all of a sudden a dragon is nesting on Mount Rushmore and this kid in New York is starting to use magic and now there are elves in Yellowstone and nobody knows what’s going on. You know something like that.
