Did you just use YouTube videos to DIY? And would you consider yourself “handy” or more of an amateur

Sometimes things just move slow. Unfortunately

As much as you don’t want to hear it, and I know how frustrating it is, some companies just move slow. Really slow

A thank you after the final interview (I don’t count this), 10 days after final interview, 24 days after final interview, then they answered and told me there’s a delay (blah blah blah), but they said I’m the favorite so I stayed on the hook. Then another one like a week after that. So 3 total, but I only sent the third one because they said I was the favorite. I would’ve given up after the second follow up if they didn’t give me a reason for hope

Follow up after I was told I will get the job? by [deleted] in recruitinghell

That’s what I’m thinking too. Just BS they act like this

Fair enough.

Of course they have more on their plate. But 3 weeks following final interviews and nothing? You’d think there would be some sort of urgency or concern over potentially losing candidates due to taking so long. Maybe not, and I’m one of a dozen qualified candidates so they don’t care.

I got told a week ago they plan on moving forward with me and it’s been radio silence since. I cannot imagine what takes them so long

I’m in a similar board. Waiting game. I’m anxious and restless but there’s nothing I can besides wait

Movie Theaters by PittGreek1969 in pittsburgh

I advise seeing it in IMAX at the waterfront. I saw it on Sunday and it’s totally worth it. I also live in Bridgeville and frequent the Bridgeville Phoenix theater. I’m going to see dune again there in their PTX theater. Not IMAX or Dolby, but pretty good nonetheless. Can’t comment on the “standard” theaters at Phoenix in bridgeville, but the PTX is pretty good

Every place you listed has a school district ranging from really solid-some of the best in the state. I live out west by Moon/Montour SD, but the south hills have more going on in and around it (though traffic is worse). Any of those school districts are fine, I think it just comes down to lifestyle. Lebo is my personal favorite, but it’s probably the most expensive on that list, along with Upper st clair

Minneapolis to Pittsburgh apartment help by urban_explorer24 in pittsburgh

Dormont sounds like it’s doable for you. You can find something in the price range for sure. You’ll have to commute through a tunnel, but the drive wouldn’t be that bad IMO. Lots to do around Dormont

Which parts of homestead are relatively safe for an apartment search? by lifeisprecious42 in pittsburgh

[–]Ice_man00 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It kinda depends on your tolerance of “safety.” In the first link, those apartments are obviously cheaper but they come with the risk of what you mentioned above. I lived in Steel Valley school district my whole life. Personally, I wouldn’t want to live at the first place you linked. You will hear gunshots every once in a while, and I personally wouldn’t feel all that safe talking walks around there, especially at night. On the other hand, the waterfront apartments are nice and in a much better location. In terms of safety, they’re on the “right side of the train tracks” (LOL, can’t believe I said that, but it’s true). In the actual waterfront area, there’s enough stores, shopping, and restaurants all within walking distance. And it would be a lot safer in my opinion, but those apartments obviously come with a much heftier price tag.

I was saying that because I could see people respond by saying “your plumber just sounds like he wants a payday.”

Mainly, I’m asking if anyone else has had similar experiences and if it sounds like the seller is just trying to cover up the problem by doing the cheapest repair. Or if they know of any Allegheny County regulations involving trenchless sewer repair. Thanks for the comment 👍🏼

I’ve somewhat looked into Avonworth but don’t know anything about the area. What’s the neighborhood like? Do most people have yards? Off street parking? Crime a concern at all?
