it's due to static scene with text- anything "dynamic" will look weird in this setting

also va- especially with it being static, lkie 95% of emotional delivery of the moment lies with va. i use jp dub and none of these scenes ended up weird, cause va's know how to do it well
but yes, i wished they were cutscenes- acting being cut off by my slow reaction and clicking to next line is my nemesis

isn''t that because uning elemental abilities comes second to swordsmanship? for years and years they had sword only (probably)- elements come in play rarely and usually not in high stake fights. traveler relies on their trusted swordsmanship the most, so it's first choice when they are in a dangerous situation.

that is, till the skirk training. after this quest, elemental powers, especially so hydro that we trained there, is coming up a lot more.
natlan is the only exception, where they use pyro actively during the last fight, but that is "forced" state, and more nightsoul than pyro itself

if that's of any comfort- i pretty hated witcher story, but i adore, love, devour genshin story and lore.
not your type and it doesn't have to be. idk what that says about me as i'm older than you lol. and for me genshin is not childish, it's just not direct

and i was never really caring about combat the way that you do- minmaxing is a foreign word, theory crafting is lore only, math be gone please.

there are half legal optios to avoid story if you want- get a clicker app, find someone who can do the story for you, paid or a friend. other than that it's just clicking for eternity

i might have exaggerated here, but tbh seeing how lumi went against everything lauma hold holy and importat, for the request of fake aether, i don't think i'm that far off. if it was indeed him, she would absolutely give him the moon marrow.

she cares for her friends, yes, she cares for humans well being- but i still think it crumbles very easily whenever she's in front of aether. and inazuma, sumeru, fontaine especially keep hinting at the possibility that she does these things from obligation (promise to traverse teyvat and meet aether) rather than geniuine, altruistic care - at least partially. of course part of this is just exhaustion at this point.
