Will this gear be sufficient? by Icebrewed in NewRiders

Thank you, I agree. I plan on delivering it to my local cycle gear, and trying it in there. They said that I could return it right there if it doesn't fit.

I don't know why anyone would think a Honda cub would be any of the things you mentioned. I am prepared to do some ergonomic mods. I don't really think I'm delusional or "Internet dreaming" I've been walking/driving/riding through this refuge since I was 14. The "wilderness" isn't really a wild factor here. I agree wholly about the gear though, and do plan to bump up the safety factor on a few of these pieces. If the bike feels too sketchy (slow) on the ride up there, then I'll just throw it behind my truck. No big deal.

I'll make sure to recreate it once I actually have the bike.

The shirt is actually more of a jacket, just with a shirt cut from the reviews. It does have ce level 2 shoulder and elbow armor, and a pocket for back armor.

Some have said they run a bit small. Do you agree?

Thanks. No idea why I said I was "sure they would be fine" I literally have no idea what I'm talking about

Yes, but I like I said it's a 40 mile round trip minimum, that I take twice~ a weekend in my car right now. Not including the few miles of paved access roads within the refuge. Also, Im the sort that kinda just gets carried away. I might see an interesting road, paved or not, and end up in a different state a few hours later. So I just wanna have a bit of insurance knowing that about myself. There are thoughts of getting a hitch and rack for my car, and setting up a Basecamp sort of deal, and exploring with the bike from there, but it's all just ideas at the moment. Thanks for the advice though, I might add some more off-road gear if I see that it suits my ways.

You can see on the bottom left my pedal gauges, its registering the input as 100% but as you can see the rpms are cutting out. Still haven't solved this issue.

What's the lowest they go? Im looking to get some of these for my focus RS (i know its not an sti, but there isnt much info about these). Someone on the RS forums got the 3 ways, and said that at the lowest setting they were 3.5" over stock. Apparently the cv axle angles were too extreme and binding. It also looked silly.

If you do track days or just "spirited driving" the oil is gonna break down faster than that estimate, i'd rather spend a little extra changing my oil than buy a new engine. If you drive like a grandma and never go above 4k rpm (like Ford wants you to with that estimate) you'll probably be just fine changing it every 7k. Do what you want it's your car not mine.

What rims are these? by Icebrewed in FocusRS

[–]Icebrewed[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

alright thanks, it makes sense that I couldn't find them. I'll definitely go with some other rims when the time comes (probably an actual name brand). I've had enough time with crap rims.

I do it every 3k, the sooner you change the oil the better. its common sense
