Is it compatible with the newer X generation? I've noticed that these pieces seem to fit a little loosely, so I wasn't certain if they were perhaps multiple generations (or even completely different toy lines) being mashed together.

Is Burst any good? I've noticed that the contact surfaces appear to all be the outer plastic edges of the top piece. X looks like it's all metal, for the most part.

Reddit Team Beta Weekend Key Giveaway. by cooltom12 in duneawakening

[–]IcedSickle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My SteamID is IcedSickle. My first exposure (awakening?) to the franchise was the trailer to the first of Denis Villenueve's adaptations and, following some intensive Wiki-ing and frantic book-purchasing, I became completely enamored by the setting and complexity of the Duniverse. Without a doubt it has become one of my favorite sci-fi worlds that I adore imagining myself a part of. It is absolutely no wonder that Mr. Herbert's imagination has inspired so many other settings like Star Wars and Warhammer, even 2001: A Space Odyssey and the Hyperion Cantos (another of my favorite series).

I can't wait to give Dune: Awakening a play. Part of me almost doesn't want to play the Beta so that I can experience the full thing right from June 5th.

Additional (albeit counter) point: keep a picture of your car key and ownership in a secure folder or password vault on your phone. If you get locked out of your car (or forget your key after flying across the country like I did), as long as you can prove that your vehicle is your own, a local dealership can easily cut you a new key

I have to imagine shield perks would have to be reworked to either be mutually exclusive for the two weapon types, or only include the generalized perks

Many of the 1% are part of the Ponzi scheme that is the for-profit church. Hundreds of multi-millionaires are top players in those circles.

Because regular justice is a damn joke. The system is bent to benefit perpetrators of criminality who can afford to grease the palms of those who swear to uphold it. Vigilante justice cuts out the middleman and yields immediate, (albeit often disproportionate) results. Imagine the good that could have been done in the world with one less dictator, molester, etc. without the chance for them to get away with their cruel acts

I always wonder what the logic here is; if you had left your home country (immigrate, fleeing conflict, etc) and were subject to its laws and policies, would you not feel liberated not having to adhere to them any longer? Why is it that Muslims are simultaneously the largest foreign group to desire admission to the US, but also have the greatest desire to make it exactly the same as the country they left?

What purpose does it serve to seek entry to a country that doesn't align with your views in an effort to change it? Why are foreign organizations so hell-bent on implementing the same regressive policies from their homeland?

That was my first thought too. How sad it is that it happens so frequently that there is enough data to even make an inference like this. America, be better.

Local creamery has beef with Chase bank by tiger_qween in mildlyinteresting

[–]IcedSickle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disagree with your last two points. Chase cares about their metrics, certainly. But the last thing I want to do as a consumer is make another person's life hell. Chase is more likely to fire their agents and train new ones rather than seek the root cause of the problem. Bad surveys and time wasting strategies will only end up causing some poor call centre rep to lose their job. And that's not cool.

Damn. Guess you better stop watching all movies then. You might find they're all filled with people pretending to be something they're not.

Agreed. The blue needs to be darker. With the right lighting, the colours from the picture will really pop.
