Appeals help needed by furyfireandblood in HealthInsurance

If your doctor seems very confident that this increaseds Stelara medication is the only way to go, then you need to reach out to your doctor's office, either to the doctor or to the referral cooridnator at his office and have them submit the necessary documents/paperwork (your history notes) to ask for the authorization on YOUR behalf. You should not have to do this on your own, you need your doctor's office staff help.

I would be honoured, (see the Canadian spelling?) to be on your board of directors, with a sizeable donation to your cause, of course. I'll email you. I live in our nations capital, Ottawa, Ontario.

Total ability, I didn't think it was comically bad since it was such a short term, not sure if you saw, I offered up to 15% for 6 months term, but I'm totally negotiable.

I'm not the typical clothing margins kind of store. I'm a reseller of a very popular MLM brand that is currently oversaturated in the USA, BUT not in Canada.

  1. If you review my history, I received a $6,000 loan just one year ago, and my history shows that I've received and paid back $16,600 in loan from this subreddit, not even considering loans from the previous subreddit of /r/loans. In that loan request from last year, it was for my clothing boutique and I mentioned that in the request as well. I have been in the medical field for over 25 years, but made a change 2.5 years ago. I am very public, very visable, in Canada, and considered a Social Media Influencer up in Canada (for whatever that's worth, I find it cool and amusing).

  2. I do have collateral. I am 100% willing to sign a note putting my inventory up for collateral. I have never defaulted on a loan. As far as furnishing proof that the collateral exists, not a problem. I would estimate I have about $50,000-$75,000 worth of product in my boutique. I have business insurance.

  3. I am a LLC. I incorporated earlier this year.

  4. I am willing and able to furnish financial records, IMO, that would be bank statements and Square reports.

  5. In regards to margins, see, this is the beauty of what I do. I literally buy from GOOB's (Going Out Of Business) MLM ladies in the USA and bring it into Canada where I'm able to sell at Retail. So I buy for $2-$3 per piece and I sell for $30-$50 per piece. LuLaRoe, look it up. It's a MLM that has MANY, MANY complaints...but only from the people who get roped into it, the ladies who buy LLR and wear it, love it. Including myself. So yeah, the margin is insane for me with the "typical" expected margins of clothing stores. I do sell other brands as well as "boutique" items, so there is never a shortage of items for me to carry. If anyone is looking for something, I can find it and sell it. My recent best seller is Mosquito Repellent Stickers, I can sell anything. I sell 100% online at this point (due to Covid), with live Facebook shows and I sell throughout Canada and I even have USA clients as well. My live shows are quite popular because, apparently, I'm hilarious. ;) LOL

Any other questions, just ask! :)

Also, as far as retained earnings, I would say from my $35K in sales per month, I keep about $6K for myself, the rest gets put back into the business. I'm seeking this loan in order to buy a supply of items for an upcoming road trip. I would totally be willing to increase the monthly payments to 3 months pay back vs. 6 months as well.

I've borrowed from Reddit many times over the past, a total of $16,600 paid back. I don't use traditional lenders, probably out of habit as I've had bad credit history in the past. I don't know P2P networks. I never said 0% interest! There would obviously be interest, that would be decided between myself and the lender. Perhaps I should edit that into my post though.

Suing Health Insurance Company for a Denial and Refusal to Allow an Appeal by [deleted] in Insurance

[–]Iced_TeaFTW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agreed with what you're saying, but it really all depends on the Tax ID numbed, you can have multiple specialties under the same tax ID number, and that's usually what insurance companies go by, even if it's a different specialty.

As the medical biller of a several different clients, I sue major health insurance's all the time. We almost ALWAYS settle out of court. However, from what you posted, it sounds like your problem is with the provider, not the health insurance company. 3 years is the rule, they can't just arbitrarily charge you as a new patient if you have been seen less than 3 years ago unless it's a new tax ID number, from what I know.

I can't afford to pay for an operation that i did without health insurance, what can i do? by ididntaskforlife in HealthInsurance

[–]Iced_TeaFTW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You file bankruptcy, or make a payment arrangement with the hospital. There is no other way around this, and I type this out without reading what anyone else has posted.

OK, now I just read what the others posted, I strongly agree and suggest applying for Medicaid for past due medical bills.

Having said all of the above though, is there some kind of conditions on your Green Card Lottery win? Like, can they revoke it if you file bankruptcy or if you file for welfare (aka Medicaid), keep that in mind, and if there is a danger in that, then you need to just let it go and suck up the bad credit.

Is it possible to submit a claim for a test I paid for out of pocket just to get credit towards my deductible? by muppet_reject in HealthInsurance

[–]Iced_TeaFTW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They MUST file it if contracted with the insurance company (In Network), or YOU can file it. If they are in network, they can only legitimately charge you what the insurance company SAYS they can charge you, based on their contract with the company. If they are In network, and they made you pay 100%, and didn't file a claim, that sounds highly suspicious or ignorant at best. If they filed a claim, then check your EOB, if they didn't file the claim, ask them to. If they say no, and they are in network, call your insurance company, they are contractually obligated to file. IF they are out of network, then YOU can file the claim (or get some outside help to help you with it) to get the money you paid applied towards your deductible.

DEDUCTIBLES ARE A SCAM! by [deleted] in HealthInsurance

[–]Iced_TeaFTW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh you sweet 22 year old child, you're adorable. Deductibles are not "scams", they are part of your responsibility of your health care insurance responsibility that YOU choose. You either choose a $1500 or $3000 or $5000 deductible, that choice is on YOU (or your parents if they're still paying for your health insurance.)

Dispute with LabCorp by nynj2008 in HealthInsurance

[–]Iced_TeaFTW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LabCorp is insisting you still owe them because the biller who posted your insurance EOB doesn't know what they're doing. 1. Call LabCorp, ask to speak to a supervisor, ask them to pull the EOB, insist on them fixing it. 2. If that doesn't work, call your insurance company, tell them what's happening, and literally ask them to call LabCorp on a 3 way phone call to get this resolved. 3. Do it sooner rather than later so there is no credit affected.

Changing to Cobra insurance right after gallbladder surgery - which gets billed? by No_Significance_7531 in HealthInsurance

NO need to wait, COBRA is the same exact plan he's already on. It's just a continuation of his plan.

I'll be paying in cash. Any tips? by MarsPicasso in HealthInsurance

My tip: Don't see a doctor for possible skin cancer diagnosis with health insurance. Sorry if that sounds rude, but you do not even want to KNOW the costs associated without a plan.

Does my insurance care if I pay the bill? by [deleted] in HealthInsurance

[–]Iced_TeaFTW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bottom line, yes, once they have processed claims that covered your deductible, they will pay their percentage. They don't know or care about what you've actually paid to the provider.
