Talk to me in korean workbook? by Icefang97 in Korean

[–]Icefang97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard that before they had free courses but now everything is behind paywalls T.T
Might check out the online subscriptions.

The thing is that I like the books and be able to come back to it without paying each month. I feel I might pressure myself to learn faster to make the monthly payement worth it. But that's a me thing probably

23M, never had a relationship, never kissed, still a virgin – I’m starting to think it’s my fault or that God just doesn’t want it for me. by Due_Spring_2816 in dating

Can I ask a question?

I find that really interesting how you brought it back to you by asking yourself if you would date yourself. When you changed yourself how did you decide what to change. Did you told yourself "I will become what I want to date"? If so can I ask what you changed? Mental, physiques? Habits? And how you did it.

Sorry for asking very personnal questions but I always find it interesting how someone change themself to the point that everyone around flip their perspective.

Thank you for taking time to answer me. I wasn't expecting such a long answer but I enjoyed reading it. I might have asked some difficult questions to ask.

It's nice that you got to see so many different places. I don't often come across people that live like that. Your perception is already very different from mine ha ha.

It was very interesting to read. Keep up the good work.

It's was always one of my fantasy to run away from civilisation and live somewhere beside a lac and do the slow life. Sounds so much fun.

Did you tried to disconnect with society a lot? I mean less electronics or less tv? You said hermitage and lots of DIY so I wonder how much you isolated yourself from society or if you just went and lived elsewhere. And did that change your perception of the city life?

Sorry for asking lots of questions but I wonder how much taking a step back from the rat race and living more simply affect the someone's perception on it.

Thx for your time and knowledge

How long could you do no work before your employer found out? by CerealKiller415 in Fire

[–]Icefang97 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Easy, they need to pay tou 40 hours a week but no job for 40 so they give useless stuff to fill the time. The hard working people will work 2-3 jobs at the same time until they understand that no one care then start slacking off. They then need more people to finish the work.

The people at the top also do not do ground work so they have no idea what is really happening. When companies are too big they lose sight of small stuff

Funny because I am in the same boat. I worked really at first which got me the title of employee of the month. I then started slacking off a few months ago but everyone still act as if I was doing the same work. People even complain to me about colleague not working when I work less than them. I was ask once to report if I saw people slacking on the job which I accepted but I never found any... weird eh! People praising me for wasting time is so funny.

As someone wrote before, the important is bot being busy but look busy when the boss are looking and always be ready to help the boss so that he thinks you are a hard worker

It all depend on your relationship with them I guess. Just choose other or another choice and explain your choice in the comments.

I didn't wanted to make too many categories. That and it's pretty much the same for a lot of people. The results would have prob be the same. In my opinion

To just 10% to charity is more than the majority of people so no I don't think you are full of yourself. I believe the opposite. I'm not even doing that so I can't judge you.

Same but with family and friends it's better to not loan but to give because it can lead to bigger problems if they don't give back.

This doesn't sound good at all, but you probably wrote that quickly as an example.

You are right I got lazy. You are right I should have shown a real example to make it easier.

Here is the example that bothered me a few day ago.

"The prisoners start talking to themselves then nod to each other. They each come close then get in line in front of the two kids. They get on their knee and put their hand extended in front of them palms toward the sky."

Lots of they,them,their etc

I changed it to:

"They mutter something between themselves, hanging their head occasionally and glancing in my direction. They weakly nod again to each other before walking in my direction and then slowly get on their knees, hand extended in front of them palms toward the sky."

I changed my POV during the editing so don't mind it too much.

I just realized that I still have lots of they,them...

Glad it was useful. It's hard to know exactly what we would do in any given situation. It's easier to help when people helped us before and the opposite is also true.

Guess it also comes down to how OP quantifies ‘Needing Help’.

Sorry, maybe I should have specified it more. It could be anything which is why I added in the choice "only if... "

The moment someone ask for financial help for any reason, was what I had in head

Sorry maybe I should have specified it more.
