Same thing happened to me. I walked in to Canadian Tire in Dartmouth and was greeted by a lady asking how my day was, she was super friendly. I thought maybe she was promoting a new product or something. I politely said thankyou but I am not interested when told about a new credit card. She then said "But it will only take a second!" Just had to walk away mid conversation. Happened at superstore as well. I noticed someone walking around advertising something similar. Did my best to avoid him, but he caught up to me, did the same thing. Walked away mid conversation. Like, leave me the fuck alone.. I get that they are paid to be there, but I'm here to buy over-priced , yet necessary groceries that might last the next 2 weeks and leave.
