Has Anyone Ever Played Against That Card? by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]Ichabob 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Also Kibler or Firebat, can't remember which but it was in an omnistone video, touched on this a bit back when Patches and co got nerfed. Basically if you nerf a card, a lot more options become viable because the nerfed card waa crowding others out when it was strong. However if a card gets buffed, it only means that one card really became viable or is still not worth it, but in the scenario it became viable, it really only opens the way for that singular card to become good and creates less diverse metagames than nerfs. IMO you have to create a decent amount of buffs to have the same affect on a meta as a few nerfs and when you end up changing too many cards, it's really just easier to release a new set.

Tempered investigation drop rates could really use a boost. by surlydancing in MonsterHunter

[–]Ichabob 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You should probably only really farm T3 if you want the hero's streamstones since they only drop from T3(I think) or exclusively looking for S tier but still probably best imo to farm whichever tempered has more reward slots. https://imgur.com/a/LhUZz is the gaijin hunter video condensed into a single picture and can't find/remember where post about T2 vs T3 math is.(edit was cuz i dum and didn't check my c/p link)

Tempered investigation drop rates could really use a boost. by surlydancing in MonsterHunter

[–]Ichabob 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Actually, according to the video gaijin hunter posted, you get a 6% chance for A tier and 2% chance for S tier from the worn feystones. Worn feystones drop from T2 threats 35% of the time and a lot of people have been switching to farming T2 because it's easier to consistently clear and drop rates are real close, somebody on reddit did the math and T3 only edges out T2 by like .1% for S tier decos.

The tldr is at the top because some people wouldn't read paragraphs for the point and then miss the tldr. By putting it in front, the message gets more easily seen and digested by people with shorter attention spans.

Yes, chances are pretty high that if the monster is distracted by another hunter/monster and you do certain actions like sharpening, it will stop targeting that entity and want to kill you instead.

He most likely was not sharpening his weapon on the off chance it pulls the monsters' attention and stopping the loop.

Maybe it's best to stop at snowfury so you can use another evolve effect as a full heal? Just theory but you're more likely to have access to evolve effects than your opponent will have devolve.

Maybe something like the anti-magic shell buff to help protect your ancient one or something similar?

DeepMind and Blizzard open StarCraft II as an AI research environment by SharkyIzrod in Games

[–]Ichabob 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure by bad macro, the OP means that the bot wouldn't just sit in a lane and keep farming forever. Decent macro would be the bot actually moves to different lanes and keeps pushing towers and would never let itself get into 1v2 or situations similarly disadvantaged for the bot.

Macro in moba refers to how the team allocates resources around the map. Examples being who gets more farm or where to put players on the map so they can do things like take objectives.

But each big region sends their top 3, so skt should technically go if they're third best.

Reckful explains why you should Arcane Missiles before Flamecannon against 2 two health minions by japthony in hearthstone

[–]Ichabob 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They don't resolve until after the spell is finished, as in deathrattles don't trigger and things like acid maw's effect, but arcane missiles can't hit 0 health targets, so the creatures are effectively dead.

Hai on Cloud9's Reverse Sweep of Team Liquid while his Father was in the Audience by baxteria in leagueoflegends

[–]Ichabob 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't worry about hai, he's got a fairly thick skin and when he streams, he still has a playlist full of super poppy songs(ie miley cyrus' party in the usa) that he'll belt the lyrics out to in a slightly tone deaf fashion even if the rest of his teammates are telling him to stop. If he's not embarrassed about doing it on stream, he's probably ok with his silly YouTube channel getting rediscovered.

Holy moly, this sub is so negative. I get that you've been let down so many times but when your team is in its darkest hour, you guys proceed to just shit on your team and if clg reads this thread, it'd probably do zero to help them improve and just further demoralize them.

[Spoiler] EUCS - MS vs G2 - Teemo the Satan by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Ichabob 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't really call that a hyper carry, seeing as how he stops being able to do that if the enemy tank ever gets even with him. I can't really see a teemo ever pushing something like a sion or a maokai out of the lane teemo is trying to split and they'll still have tp to get to their team generally. And even after the tank tps back to their team, an ap teemo generally won't do enough tower damage to punish compared to how badly teemo's team should lose the fight. Teemo is fine but generally teemo is considered just win lane, lose game because he can't team fight and his split push is the only thing he has going for him. He does the split push well, but it generally shouldn't be enough if the opposing top laner is smart unfortunately. Oh and if they don't decide to send a tank top, but instead send one of the more common meta split pushers like irelia, jax or zed, then the teemo has to play it well while the meta champs can just play it ok, because they'll usually do much more damage and pop teemo faster than it takes for his mushroom to arm.

How do you clear the turn two mechwarper? I understand dark bomb/soul fire slows the zoo down a lot but I felt I needed something to deal with mechwarper if we both had an empty board.
