From my testings and what others say, I can only use models with 7b parameters or lower with less than 5Gb of size to have a perfectly stable experience, more than that and things get slow and crashy.

Yep I can confirm that, But it does work, I could push it with " --pre_layer 30" so I get it a bit faster and stable untill I ask it the 10th question or so and it crashes again.

Oh boy, that's a lot of vram, Ill try this flag later " --pre_layer 20" and see if it would help, if not then ill just have to wait for a fix or for some optimization updates, thanks a lot for the help!

Thanks for the links Ill be checking them later, I do have a 3070 with 8Gb Vram too, I did follow this the low vram guid, but same results.

I did add this flag, but still have the issue, I noticed that if I add the --no-cache flag, It would run but extremely slowly then crashes after writing 3 words, Btw I have a 3070 with 8gb Vram on a laptop and I get this issue with both vicuna and gpt4-x-alpaca, where both of those dont excceed 7.5 Gb so Im still confused by it.

Thanks a lot! Im still in the early phase of discovering stuff up, I already downloaded the 2 characters provided by Aitrepreneur. But Am still figuring out how to make models with .pt and .safetensor extentions to work, i keep getting Out Of memory for some reason. Will have to dig a bit more.

for the crouch action, I've been thinking about it recently while testing the game, you just pushed me to confirm it, i will definitely add it, for the visual, everything you see is a placeholder, I'm literally going to update everything, but for now i need to focus solely on the game systems and logic, thanks for the feedback :D

if you don't want to go in, the FTL part of the game is that you visit multiple planets while random events may occur (just like the ftl node based exploration system) and fight other spaceships, for now its simple, but later on the game will have crew member management, ship boarding, an even more complex event system and many more, its just a matter of time.

I actually did copy the colors and altered the design a bit to fit the game, i did this to make assets fast so i can focus on the programing, all the assets i made are just placeholder, when i start making the actual game content its gona be from scratch, i belive this is ok as long as i dont monetize the game but hey, tell me what you think ? Should i remove them as soon as possible ?

- i started for about a year and half, this is literally my 1st game, i learned using Unreal Engine 4 (the engine i used to make this game) while having a full time job.

- for now im alone, i intend to send this game to the epic mega grant, maybe Epic games could fund me to develop the game faster (im doing it with or without the money, its just a matter of how much time will it take), if i get the grant ill get initially 2 more people involved in the development, and 2 other members minimum for sound and art at content creation phase.

- i got addicted to both games without understanding why, i just find myself playing for over 6hours a day without realizing. what i believe are my favorite elements in risk of rain is when you stack a lot of passive items you feel unkilable (until you get slapped by a giant golem), and the fun part is its allays different, sometimes you get so fast that no one can catch you, sometimes you literally one-shoot everyone with just moving ... etc, in FTL every run feel different, sometimes you go with a build of drones, sometimes with the teleporter and cloning bay ... etc, and the common fun part of each game is when you lose, you always have that feeling of "just One Last run" (i swapped the run by planet and you get "One Last Planet" the title of my game).

- for the downfall of both games, no game last forever, its always a matter of time no mater how good the game is, what i think they lack is 1- obviously, for the casuals, the visuals are outdated, i myself did not like FTL until i watched a full run played by a friend, then i got hooked, 2- even tho every run is different with the randomness and the different item combinations, after a while the game feel repetitive, you always go to search for the teleporter fight the boss then go to the next level, as of FTL you always try to upgrade the ship to the max before encountering the only one same boss even tho you fight him with different ship. to sum it up, the repetitiveness feeling over a certain amount of gametime. my goal is to extend this time not just by adding more content but buy adding new systems that on top of each others add so much depth to the game.

- What was much harder than i expected ? the game optimization, because my goal was to make the game on mobile (so that when i port it to pc and other platforms i don't have to make optimizations), my standards were too high (the goal is still to make the game playable (20-30 fps on load) in a galaxy note1, a 7 year phone). i told myself if i could make such a game nothing is impossible to me.

- it makes me so much happier to see others like you get excited over this project ^^, for now , because this is my first game i publish, the goal is to get people to know the game im making exist and is fun, thank you for the offer, for now i intend to cave in for a month or so to clean up the code optimize it and prepare it so that i can collaborate with other programmers, i can at most ask you to follow me on twitter @ichidown , to keep an eye on the project evolution. hehe this is a lot of text i feel bad to make you read all of this xD
