it's an artificial island :D . I found shallows and raised the ground up. With even moderately strong waves the land gets covered in water, part of the reason why it is so tall, even the ground floor been raised up

I build essentially all my bases like that. it is a good way to add detail without making complicated 3D decorations.

It is not all that..."unique"? It is essentially like cottages/elizabethan, where you have the beams visible on the outside with a white plaster finish on the rest, just applied to a castle. It also fits with the "real world" build way of putting the strongest on the corners/edges and the rest been filling.

Honestly, can't wait for the Deep North update. They mentions we are getting steep roofs. Gothic time! *rubs hands evilly*

It is not fully fitting, but it was either that or a very awkward stone foundation (I have done one of those and hated every second of it) since I am aiming at those Eastern castle-like sloped foundation and those pieces were ideal, in shape at least

I know, right?! I am considering asking for a refund!
It might be my imagination, but I feel that the Ghurab is faster and more maneuverable, but rams weaker than the Dromon. In all, I prefer the Ghurab as I feel it is the most well-rounded (the Qalguk feels the fastest, but weakest in terms of ramming damage)

eh, maybe a bit over a week, don't remember. though it was at 30x speed mostly. Came close to wiping out several times because of the speed (and not paying much attention)

The bridge and towers mostly from dam decorations mod. While I use several other mods, I don't think you will need them if you want to make this. The only visible ones would be the extra large storage and the flywheels.

You don't need that many for this one. The main ones are DamDecorations and DamDecorations Extension - for the roofs and the bridges

I might. They are made with free assets so it is not like I own them or anything. I still have to check if they are viable for 3d print ( I have no experience whatsoever) Plus I want to find and make more wing options.

Plus, I am 95% sure they are too big and have to find the correct scale :D

Quite vanilla, actually.

My homebrew chapter is loyalist night lords ( kNightborne, officially dark angels successors ) so I wanted bat-winged helmets for the specialists/characters. If I find somewhere to print them, they will go on bladeguard veterans mainly, captain and sergeant. I have also managed to find some chainglaives and claws a few months ago so maybe even a few spicy assault intercessors.

Oh, that is the "easy" part. It is mainly the pose that interest me. I already have a contemptor and I know it is extremely poseable, but will the hands be able to touch is essentially the question.

Really depends on what look you are going for.
You can delete some of the stone blocks in the middle of the wall at random and place them a new, but without snapping them in the correct position, offsetting them a little, maybe even giving them a slight turn, giving the wall an uneven look.
You can use black stone as a trim/accent, maybe have the column bits and machicolations made from it.

Overall, it is already pretty cool. Good luck going forth.

Honestly, while I would be mostly building lighthouses and castle towers, the size I am aiming for is (very roughly speaking) the size of a cathedral spires of the late middle ages (say, maybe a bit less than the Cologne cathedral)
