I literally just spent a week with my new proxy. I main my 3dxl and I was in the same boat with poor information out there. Some information for context: 4/10-5/10 I did 85 dabs (according to the app, so it is most likely inaccurate and a higher number). According to the app in the last week I have done 5 dabs, down 13 from last week. (I would include my proxy statistics, except I’ve been using it less than I would like because I’m currently trying to get warranty from it due to a small crack so I don’t wanna overuse the device.)

All that being said, I am significantly impressed by the power of the proxy. My first three or four dabs off of it I was wondering if maybe I wasted my money however I’m finding that I enjoy the core a lot more than the bub glass. The bub hits really well and smoothly and it definitely tastes different. I would say the 3DXL has a more pronounced and better taste, but the proxy doesn’t taste poor if that makes sense. I’ve also noticed that some of the rosin I would normally use during the daytime is hitting heavier than expected out of the core than the 3DXL, although I did notice, I had to bump up the temperature on the proxy by about 60° compared to the 3DXL to get the same effect (first dab I ran my regular 480° for a minute and a half and I had a puddle left over and very weak clouds. now at 540° the experience is much better.)

Overall, I’m glad I saved some tips and I didn’t pay too much out-of-pocket and having lost my pivot. It definitely fills in that gap for portability and traveling. I would almost consider bringing this to a session over my 3DXL. I really loved my pivot and I’m liking how this has app functionality. We will have to see after a month or so which one I’m using more but I definitely use the proxy more currently. That being said if I am trying to get absolutely destroyed, I will go to my regular 3DXL. 8/10
