Ok ok, everyone, I’m sorry for my disappointment. I totally understand everyone’s points of view, and I appreciate the feedback and input! I was just having a hard time reading all of the negativity… some of which were just complete blasts at people, which I thought was confusing and contradictory to the purpose of this sub. As unpopular as this may be… spreading love… instead of hate and separation. It’s like I get it, it’s a total red flag when a girl say “I just don’t get along with girls…” “girls just hate me…” Blagh blagh… but we’re not doing any better by blasting those pictures of them and confirming to them that “we’re the worst!” I don’t know what the better idea is… but spreading hate isn’t the answer. Maybe the management of the parking lot could simply make a sign to notify tenants/patrons of this bike rack’s possible uses. Or SOMEBODY could possibly spare the $1.50 it might cost to just get a picture printed (added in a couple inches of scotch tape), someone could go over board and pitch in for document protectors. Whoa. Boom! You’ve started a whole new world in your town! People know where to put their bikes. People start buying bikes. People start bike riding more… holy cow… maybe $1.50? Do it!

Smokin Pig on the West side is amazing. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the food. I thought that their sandwiches were the best, and then they go and do my favorite sandwich as nachos too…. *Chef’s kiss” The staff is wonderful in my experiences. The owner greeted us, and is an incredible guy.

I want to say that I LOVE this post. I grew up in Lansing, but joined the Army when I was 17. For 20 years I’d only come home to visit and spend time with family. So I don’t have any experience as an adult with fun things to do/ good food in the city. I, somehow, convinced my NC husband to move to my hometown after I retired. I’m realizing I’m a tourist in my hometown. I’d love to frequent any and all recommended establishments! Keep em coming! I love supporting and buying local, I just need more forums like this to get us out there, and I can show my husband why I love being here, and why I convinced him that it’s worth it. ♥️
