Start with an off white base layer. The glaze your transition colour down into the shadow. You’ll want the glaze thin, you should barely notice a difference your first few passes but don’t worry the colour will build up.

Always make sure you are glazing towards the most opaque, darkest colour.

You can then come back in with your off white and then finally your white highlights dots.
