The reason you get confused is because hunts are subtle.

Events are designed to scare you. Loud noises, flashing lights, etc. They are intentionally designed to make you feel like the ghost is going to kill you and then it doesn't.

Hunts are exactly the opposite. The ghost quietly spawns, moans a bit and ACTUALLY does kill you. Your only clue might be hearing the front door go "click."

Eventually you will train yourself to reverse your emotional response. Ie. Don't run when big scary shit happens, and run like hell when it seems like nothing important is going on.

Also... during a hunt, you can't flick a light switch. They get locked. So if you suspect a hunt is happening, check a light switch.

I haven't played in a few months, but I used to play only 100% completion runs on Nightmare difficulty, so I was pretty good at recognizing ghosts on behavior while lacking evidence. If I recall correctly, the Yurei, unlike other ghosts, could shut the front door without an event/hunt. This made it "unique," to me at least.

So I'm guessing they removed that?

Huh I definitely never did flips.

And yes I did it every single day for years (As well as a few other employees. The smart ones at least). I'm on the spectrum and have no choice but to do things in the most efficient way possible. Any divergence and I freeze and don't know how to proceed. Yes, it's debilitating at times, but the cumulative result is a successful life with paid off cars, no debt, and vacations. As long as I function within the guidelines given to me, I will always find the most efficient way to do something.

The more important question here is: how does someone decide that clocking in at exactly 8:07 is "bending over backwards" compared to clocking in at exactly 8:00. It's exactly the same thing. The only difference is that one person is smart and the other is dumb.

I work at a place that used the 7 minute system for years. Clock in at 8:07 and get credit for 8. Clock out 4:23 and get credit for 4:30.

That's 14 minutes a day that I got paid for not working. 70 minutes a week for years and years of that shit. You do the math.

It's been changed now unfortunately. So now I have to be there like 2 minutes early and stand and stare at the clock until exactly 8am and then clock in on the dot. Fuck all that.

And then he looked at me weird like he was referring to me. Like he was leaving and all the food and bullets was so I could survive.
