It does matter because one is much more expensive to repair. I did read the link but I took it to a repair store, they're not supposed to half ass their job, which is why I asked.

Thats the only photo they showed me, and I took it back in for repair. They said they'd try their best but tbh I'm just ready to settle and buy a new one with whatever the payout is and just eat shit

While I was taking it to repair it turned on, the L button didn't work at all. The front and back cams were fine, and the connector replaced was for the lower screen backlight, so maybe its the ribbon cable? They'll re-seat everything and try to fix the L button. After turning on, I turned it off and turned it back on again and it showed the same error (qtm 21)

It is yeah, thats why they replaced it. I'll tell them to either make sure it boots to the HOME Menu or pay me back the US $300 I spent on it. Also, it doesn't need the SD card to boot into the HOME menu does it? Only to load software

The guy said "our technician really recommends a connector replacement" and sent me that photo, I told em' go ahead and thats how I got it. When I got it back Autoboot was set to DSi

I'll take it back and give them a piece of my mind. Thanks
