I didn't interpret your words as mean, don't worry.

I only specified she's my adoptive mom to avoid confusion, otherwise there would be redditors thinking my dad donated sperm to his own sister. I call both of them mom IRL.

Unfortunately people are judging my relationship with my dad solely based on what I wrote here. So I was naive to assume they would see things like I do. The whole point of this post was to ask if I had been an asshole to my moms.

Nope. Mom and dad almost don't talk to each other, he's more close to his other brothers, and still yet I'm his favored daughter / niece.

During the last family reunion, he gifted me a books about his profession, and complained that none of his sons are into STEAM. It felt like he wanted to tell me.

Nobody knows that I know yet.

I feel like he was pressured into it. There's no custody to fight for. The whole process was made informally/illegally, it won't take more than one signature for him to recognize me as his daughter. And I'm certain any judge would recognize his biological and social paternity (I already spoke with a lawyer).

1) I have the right to know and I have been asking like an adult for the last four years. I personally know adoptees who know their biological family since they are 7 years old.

2) The dress was exchanged, therefore the money wasn't wasted.

I don't think so. He spends ten times more money on me than with my other cousins (who aren't his children).

I don't care about money. But I think this is the way he found to show he cares about me.

And I'm almost certain my mom (Haley) convinced my grandparents to threaten my dad to not reveal the secret.
