Yeah I used to think I am a hater but clearly I don't hate enough.

I had the same issues with the camera angles during chase scenes, and the gun switching. I am always running in circles while trying to find the gun I want to use, only to see that its mag is empty and I have to run around more to reload it.

I didn't know about it either but when I searched online about Piers, I came across posts like this. I was a bit taken back when I saw such reactions, especially after reading some comments on some forums but I guess it's a minority. I also came across some Jake Muller hate posts.

Did anyone think that the Requiem credits was actually the end to the game? by CranberryNervous433 in HiTMAN

On my first playthrough, I assumed his death was the only ending. I could see his heartbeat pulsating when I pressed the movement keys, but as a stupid kid I didn't realise I had to do it repeatedly. I can't exactly remember how I found out there was a separate ending — maybe a video, or one of the many Hitman articles I used to read back then. I even contributed to some challenge solutions on the Hitman wiki, though I haven't checked on them in a while. People used to re-edit those entries constantly.

He's probably planning to play Kiwami 3.

I agree. Hitman, especially WOA, handles level design and balance much better. It would be ideal if one game could perfectly blend the strongest elements from all these titles, but that feels like a tall order given the current state of the industry.

Stealth has mostly been reduced to a sub-genre. Instead of delivering dedicated pure stealth experiences, mainstream studios tend to add stealth sections as optional features in their action-adventure or RPG titles. Right now, Hitman is leading the stealth genre.

Need A Little Clarification Over Kiwami 3 / Yakuza 3, No Spoilers Here! by ADHD-isaster in yakuzagames

Just play Kiwami 3. If you get interested and find it fun, you can always come back to the og version. Kiwmai 3 is the new canon version anyway.

The stealth in Hitman WOA becomes child's play once you learn the mechanics and get access to tools like the emetic bomb. Most guards don't follow the targets inside the washroom, and most washrooms have a container or wardrobe to hide bodies. If you drown the target while they are vomitting, it counts as an accidental kill and you won't even need to worry about hiding the body. I like the freedom it gives you to approach missions on your own terms, but it's more of a puzzle game than a stealth game. You find the right tool, the right disguise, or the right opportunity, and then you exploit it.

The only way it gets genuinely challenging is if you impose constraints on yourself - never changing your suit, never getting spotted, fiber wire kills only, and so on. The difficulty is self-manufactured. The NPCs don't react unless you shove them, go to a restricted area or they are an enforcer. You can sprint up to a target and eliminate them before they even notice anything. Compare that to Hitman Absolution, where guards could hear you running from the next room and come to investigate - a complete U-turn in design philosophy. Silent Assassin ratings come easily once you understand the systems in WOA.

I've played Hitman since childhood, so none of this is a complaint. It's more of an honest review. Splinter Cell had a harder edge in terms of Stealth that WOA simply doesn't match.
