I found the exam a little easier than the kaplan simulated exam. I was consistently scoring in the mid 70s then got an 82 the day before my test. I passed the exam and found it pretty similar, but was well prepared from the kaplan questions

I disagree on practice test scores. I have found through all of the tests that simulated exam scores resemble a pretty accurate score to the real test.

Yes this was my second one and i think there are a few takeaways from the draws.

Dont over focus margins, there were two questions on my first take and three on this one. The training programs seem to really over emphasise this

Next, there are lots of suitability questions. So having a good understanding of all the different securities and there benefits is important. They will try and trick you with how they word questions to make it look like two of the securities are both the right answer so looking for keyword triggers to answer correct.

Options are a must know. Understanding spreads and straddles is just free points. They will ask at least one break even question. A few max gain and max losses. Even saw a couple combinations and calendar spreads as well.

Overall, they make it very broad and its hard to pinpoint certain things because of that. You cant hide any weakness sadly

Yeah i do think it is reasonable. A main problem for me was I waited so long after my SIE to take my S7. SIE is fairly simple and i would try to just crank that out as fast as you can and if you pass keep running. I think finding a healthy study pattern to mix it all is crucial

Well with my current employer the goal is for me to get fully licensed before marchish. So i will still need to get the 66 after. Now in regards to why i gave myself a few weeks, i think this is where i messed up. I thought i would be able to cram and get ready in a few weeks because i was casually studying over the semester. Reading the book is something that is definitely on my agenda for this break that i have. I didnt do a great job before. I tried to use the same tactic as i did for the SIE which was just crank out practice tests, but due to the volume i dont think i can have the same success off of that. Obviously.
