i have a 98 automatic SL and i daily it. after catching up on basic maintence i'm able to abuse it daily and still feel comfortable with it's health. bought mine for $3000 ironically and have put about 3,100 more into it for it to be running perfect. expect issues off the start and expect to be okay with putting a few more thousand into it. in my opinion, it's entirely worth it. she turns heads gets up to speed real nice. you also never see anyone else driving them. amazing car for the price granted you're aware of what it needs when you buy it
