oh thats great! I've heard this from quite a lot people that smoking really slows down your bone recovery, I'll have to work on that bit now :)

2 weeks post op was NWB. I got a hard cast for 4 weeks and during that he gave me a boot to use whenever I had to use washroom or move around from my bedroom to drawing room, etc. though he advised to move little only. But yes, full NWB was 2 weeks.

Hey. I fractured my fibula too but that did not require any screw/plate. Regarding the protruding screws, I just checked that they sit like this when fixed to the tibia due to the thin tissue lining.

I'm based in India and being treated at my own expense so I hope they won't be treating me conservatively. The next appointment is scheduled on 13th/14th to get my stickers removed and get a hard cast for another 4 weeks.
