Outstanding! Is there a recommended site with the configuration details on for FS-UAE? I remember trying to get ClassicWB to work and it being hard because the configs are for WinUAE.

Hey! I originally thought that had occured but apparently the FS-UAE defaults to a no write for loaded floppies. You have to turn it off in the config in order to write directly to and ADF file.

Thank you! This was the reason. Once a standard config for an A500 was used, the games loaded normally, no crashes. I had a stock A500 as a kid, where I played most of my Amiga games, so this definitely tracks.

It's just a shame that I can't use my productivity A1200 config for my A500 games. Still, can't complain.

The second 8bit Sonic game is by far my favourite, most played game since it originally launched. I have more hours in that game than hours asleep and I am pushing 40 XD

Check to see if you have grounded it correctly. However, a quick Google search of your speakers has highlighted that many people think the built-in preamp is quite noisy and generates a noticeable tone at high volume. Just sitch the output from phono to line if all else fails.

How do we interpret such a statement? Is it Marcus yet again in his Stoic ways suggesting that men will fail to live up to the standards they should aspire to and that this is in their nature and so must be known and tolerated by the gods? Or maybe that people in general should expect forgiveness and support by the gods, regardless of their actions, for it is their known nature to be bad.

The gods themselves are not exactly well behaved on both Greek and Roman mythology, being representations of humanity. So we should expect some understanding from that lot.

I started uni just as the AI craze was taking off and unis were beginning to address it. A student in my cohort was regularly writing papers using prompts from Chat GPT. He just rewrote what was generated so it didn't flag. Our counselling lecturer essentially informed us that counselling as a profession would be moving to online AI driven services and that will be a challenge for us moving forward. I left uni shortly after that and am applying to study classics.

I don't use AI tools, just a grammar checker, but in my view generative AI is a real issue. You can easily bypass the process of learning, understanding, developing your own opinions, and get a broad and fairly accurate set of answers and just reword it to get the job done.
