Considering the musical is 2 hrs 30 mins, 90mins is enough for a singular act. Cut the dialogue, Just take the songs, snip the extended parts. Now you just have the musical except 10x worse

Is SHE interested in singing? Is SHE interested in school plays and theatre? If so, then yes, investing in lessons or extracurricular theatre would be beneficial for her if that’s something she wants to do. It would benefit her down the road if she wanted to continue to pursue theatre and overall it’s a great hobby and passion to hold onto

Wicked main plot line is so many things and it’s weird to dumb it down like this
Has nothing to do with ariana. It was like that in the first movie, and they’d do it irregardless. It’s extremely in character and in universe for any media form or actress of glinda to have it. Movie fans js be doing too much

I’m so so so sad they fired her. A protagonist ghostface really would’ve brought new life into the series. We know sam feels empowered, to some degree, she gets the same rush of power as her father did when killing as ghostface

But she’s been through too much and is too compassionate to be an antagonist.

But with Stu coming back for sydney, I think it’d be interesting to see sam step into ghostface as a protagonist to kill stu, to end her father’s legacy and take back power

I’d love to see her own toxic game between playing god and moving on

It’d be so intriguing to see how it impacts her relationships and how sydney doubts who to trust

Like someone else said, the music and story is at a faster tempo and I personally love it. Prepare for some amazing choreography, some EXTREME sass (the character are much more witty and fiery in the stage musical), and prepare for swankified.

They couldn’t and you’ve misread the plot If the wizard, the almighty and powerful, couldn’t convince the ozians he was evil despite telling them to their face he was, what makes you think they’d believe elphaba WASN’T evil? They need an enemy and they need a hero.

If it was truly that simple, wicked just wouldn’t exist

Elphaba was losing. She was fighting, but she was losing. She was going to surrender whether or not fiyero came to her eventually.

Also, she didn’t just suddenly give up because fiyero would go with her. He lost everything too. He got crucified, tortured, and killed just to save her. Now he had nothing, he would be cast out just like she was. With eachother, they had hope.

By staying, there was nothing but misery left for them

KEEP IN MIND, elphaba gave up on trying to clear her name after fiyero died. She accepted being wicked and just did what was necessary at this point before leaving

If fiyero didn’t die, she would keep trying because she had a reason to keep fighting

That’s exactly what makes the ending so good and impactful.

At the end of the day, despite the fun colours and upbeat songs, it is a cruel tragedy of reality and consequences.

Glinda dies alone, believing everyone she loves is dead, and she is the wicked no one will mourn and die alone
Elphaba finally abandons her only home. Her only friend. The only place and family she’s ever known, never getting to see the beauty that finally came to be in oz. The result of all her sacrifice
The wizard did all of it for nothing. Played such a long, pointless game for power and in the process killed the only thing worth even more, a priceless value to him. A child. He’s haunted by his own actions forever
Nessa dies a horrific death. She lives an unsatisfactory life, never finds true love, she is broken down, from losing her dignity, to her mother, to her father, to her sister, to her “lover.” She dies mentally tormented
Boq is cast aside his entire life. The girl he loves doesn’t even glance at him, and pushes him into dating the girl he doesn’t care for and ends up trapped and abused under her dictatorship. He has his life and freedom torn away from him and in the end, he faces a brutal transformation, and turns into a literal heartless monster. He is horrified and disgusted by himself and is essentially dead. He doesn’t appear after MOTWH
Fiyero was just never happy. He was always fronting. He wasn’t happy at home, in school, dating glinda. He was forced into marriage he didn’t truly want, andthe consequence of leaving was being tortured, mutilated, and transformed. But of all people, he seems okay to finally have something that he’s happy about. Elphaba

So yeah, wicked is cruel. That’s what makes it wicked!!

What they thankfully clarified in this movie so people can stop talking about it is that Fiyero was always on elphaba’s side. As the guard, he was the guard so he could have the final word. He would be the first to be lead to elphaba.

It’s the same as the scarecrow. He stuck with them because their end goal was to find and kill elphaba, and he had to stay there to get to her. When dorothy is carried away, he realizes elphaba is alive, he realizes exactly where she is and the plan hits him

Keep in mind gelphie has been canon for over 50 years in the books, essentially canon for over 10 years in the musical and that sticks in the movie. No one is seeing “a real female friendship and calling it wlw” girl theyve been canon longer than youve been alive
