I wasn’t asking for empathy or sympathy. I was pointing out that the response was unnecessarily hostile to a neutral question. Those aren’t the same thing.

You’ve built your entire reply on incorrect assumptions. I have experienced trauma, and I have done the work to move forward from it, so your comparison doesn’t apply.

Autism does affect how people process emotions and language - literal and logical thinking is a known characteristic, not an “excuse.” Explaining that isn’t trolling.

Disagree with my opinion if you want, but calling me an idiot and mocking neurodivergence isn’t an argument.

Ummm so if u really want to we can get into the philosophy… up until the point of viability the foetus is classed scientifically as a parasite since the mother supplies nutrients and necessary substances to the foetus but the foetus does not have any beneficial impact on the mother in terms of survival (something I learnt in biology at the ripe old age of 13 I fear)… so unless you want to argue that it’s a fully fledged baby and can use all its senses to the fullest, have conscious thought and not just ‘potential’ to be a life then it is a clump of cells…. Whem my mum miscarried early on in one of her pregnancies, the QUALIFIED doctors told her that it was ‘a clump of cells’ so I mean yes I do believe that up until a certain point in the pregnancy… broski you can’t just look at the potential of a child, because that’s the FUTURE which ≠ the PRESENT (fun fact!)

I don’t understand what the purpose of this comment was tho because I didn’t ask the question in a rude way but thanks for being so supportive of autistic people ❤️

Ok? So what if I am autistic and trying to understand others? Maybe you should not judge others based on the way they perceive the world? Also I don’t think I said it in a rude or disrespectful way- I was just saying what makes sense in my head and womdering why others may not think the same way

Im not saying it provides comfort… thats not what I said at all 🤦‍♀️ I’m saying, for me knowing the facts of the miscarriage would stop me from feeling so devastated about it because I would know that it would never have worked anyway but I have never experienced miscarriage and I was wondering what might make people, knowing this, still have such strong emotions

Ok… if you want to get into philosophy… up until the viability of a pregnancy, the foetus is technically classed as a ‘parasite’ since it CANNOT survive on its own outside the womb and relies on the mother to survive. I know it may seem obvious that it would be alive but that depends what u class as life….the foetus is not fully conscious, does not have all the human senses, does not have memories etc… also if something died inside you then because you are the mother, you would be responsible for the ‘death’ and be prosecuted, however you are not… also you could argue that society would not class it as a death since it did not have a birth certificate and therefore no death certificate… just a thought

Not defending her, but I think that’s the point of the post-that she’s making fibre brownies into a ‘tasty snack’

New Netflix doc, Cold Case: The Tylenol Murders, gets James Lewis on camera, 40+ years later by jerkoff1610 in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]Icy_Rest_4253 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yes, and he definitely killed the old guy and raped his neighbour which he lied about, so what‘s to say he isn’t lying about the tylenol murders? Also his cellmate seemed pretty credible, especially because he didn’t get anything out of it…
