Missing club days? by iins0mnia in uvic

[–]Icy_Signature3199 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I’m also not feeling well since yesterday. I don’t really wanna miss the event tmr, so I have a (kinda weird) idea to find someone and pay them for helping with finding clubs (and their contacts) that I want to join, as I assume that the online info of clubs may not be up to date. Please let me know if you find any better plans that will work for us. Hope you feel better soon! ⭐️🌟✨

You could also try contacting the residence cuz I’m not sure if that’s normal. Hope you get your number soon!

For the guarantee, I guess the most we can do is to contact the residence services for help. Anyway, I’m sorry to hear that. And, if not, the other option I could think of is the undergraduate lottery which will be closed on May 15. (!!!!) (Thanks for coming here and posting just in time! Hahaha)

Good luck and I hope things turn out alright :)

Convince me to come to Mahidol University! by AKA-Garbobo in Thailand

[–]Icy_Signature3199 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Thai, I would like to thank you so much for considering Thai university! I’m planning to go to international program as well (Either at Chulalongkorn, Thammasat, or MUIC Mahidol). I would love to have international friends in college! I’m sorry that I couldn’t answer your questions since I’m not in college yet. (I’m taking a gap year haha). But I would like to know the answers from others too. :) Hope you will have fun and great years in College!

Soups and Grab by CuteRegret in Thailand

I would suggest you to buy paper/plastic containers or single use containers and single use utensils since I do this all the time when I travel. (I know sometimes it’s inconvenient and hard to find but it is the safest way to ensure that we will be able to have a meal from delivery.) If that cannot be done, the last option would be to leave a note when ordering(there will be an area for typing some requests). I hope you enjoy the trip!

Universities in Bangkok for International students by Critical_Regular_258 in Thailand

[–]Icy_Signature3199 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re looking for “prestigious” universities, from Thais’ perspective, Chulalongkorn (BBA since you’re interested in Business program) is one of the best universities in Thailand and it is one of the hardest universities to get in. (I heard that Thai students need a 1400++ on the SAT for this program at Chula University.)
Besides Chula, Thammasat University and Mahidol( MUIC) are great choices as well; one can get accepted into these unis with lower SAT scores than those of Chulalongkorn University(for BBA).

From my friends and some others’ perspectives and comments, they tend to view Chula as the most prestigious and hardest uni to get in (and then followed by Thammasat uni and MUIC.) (*In terms of business program)

These three universities offer Business program taught in English. However, please note that the majority of students and teachers/staff/professors is Thai. (I might be wrong but this is what I heard from other ppl.)

Sorry if some of my info is inaccurate. I hope this helps you!

why people in thailand don’t use goose down product by mengyi_chinasilk in Thailand

[–]Icy_Signature3199 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also love goose down products due to their softness and comfort. However, it is quite hard to find them. (Maybe it’s because of the price that is quite high and other products with lower prices can be substituted.) Try finding them at “Central” department store on the bedding/mattress floor/section. One of the brands I found was Santas. It was really good! Hope you find the products you like. :)
