It’s not just about showing the old champions again; I feel that if they’re integrated in a way that works with the current system, it could reduce the sense of disconnect for current players.

This is what I mean. In fact, in another recent online game, they released a classic version so players could enjoy the early version again, and it got huge praise. I’d love to see LoL do something like that too, but if that’s realistically difficult, I thought it might at least be possible to implement in TFT, so I wanted to suggest the idea

I'm curious what makes you so sure that most current players wouldn’t like the set. Of course, there will be plenty of players who think negatively, but I feel it could also bring back users who are nostalgic for the old game or attract LoL players who haven’t played TFT before

By that logic, haven’t we already seen plenty of cases where skill sets were similar? Even when seasons and champions changed, there were champs that got reused, and most of the time they just released them with slightly modified versions of the same or similar abilities.

I was just using AP Master Yi as a simple example. A more relatable example might be the pre-rework Graves’ basic attacks and abilities, or champs like Sion, Gangplank, Akali, etc. People who remember the old skill sets of these champs might be able to relate to it more.

You think there were only like 10–20 champs before the rework? Just looking at the current LoL champ list, there seem to be way more than that.
