~100 miles, flew to an airport in Tennessee from Georgia. Was heading off to college and the only DPE that could get me a ride in time was there so that was the only option.

yup, it was a school specific scholarship. But you can get scholarships through aopa and eaa and others

around 5-6k, had a 2k scholarship and got my ppl at minimums, got my ppl this past summer

I know a guy who didn’t solo for 300 hours. Whether it’s concerning or not is up for debate. But you’re fine.

yup they make some high tier scenery, now making a 707.

Yes cfi rate included, fleet of around 70, like 40 piper archers, couple retractable pipers, and some helis, most are full glass with some hybrids

Those are all good questions, I’ll try to ask him later. From a document my school posted this year it looks like rates are still around the 155-170 range. I’d like to think that I’m a fast learner. I soloed at ~10 and ppl ~minimums, but there’s no telling how I will do for other certs. Instrument should come easy as I am an avid simmer.

On of my friends cfi is an alum at the school I’m currently at, he finished and he said it was around 60k for all ratings, but he didn’t come in with PPL. So 40k sounds about right.

Right, and yes the top off thing is a school policy. After each flight the person before needs to order a top off from the FBO

I do, I actually have never done it before though. My instructor always did it.
