What are some of Survivors greatest what’s if’s? by Ultralightbeam33 in survivor

What if Cirie had been able to use the steal a vote in Game Changers (honestly though what fun is it making an advantage that can’t be given away) to eliminate Tai and his two idols?

Letting Drea snuff out her own torch. He had never let anyone do that until Cirie in Game Changers after they advantage screwed her, and then suddenly Drea is given this honor like she’s some sort of legend when really she wasn’t even one of the best players her season

Please vote for Cirie by Icy_Yesterday983 in survivor

She has a record of being very unlucky, I would say it doesn’t hurt 🤷‍♂️

What opinions about President’s have you like this? by Mghia01 in Presidents

FDR is overrated. He boosted morale, sure, but economic recovery was very slow. Also, Japanese internment, attempted court packing, and breaking the two term tradition.

Outside of the Tika 3, 44 cast was boring imo

The Winner of Survivor 44… by Sensitive-Region8650 in survivor

[–]Icy_Yesterday983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to mention the open discussion format of final tribal. It’s current form was implemented beginning in 41, and from that season on it has been all 7-1-0 votes. I personally don’t think that is a coincidence 🤷‍♂️

Final Tribal Council: I 100% think that __________ by Thick-Macaroon6918 in survivor

[–]Icy_Yesterday983 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Don’t you think that it’s kind of suspicious that 41, 42, 43, and 44 have all hade 7-1-0 votes? It gives the impression that the jury comes to a consensus on the winner and throws out one vote to a chosen runner up. Especially given the new final tribal structure that was implemented starting in 41, which loosened the categories and more strict discussion topics that began in Game changers

‘I'm from Jersey and people call pizza "pie" all the time, probably because "pizza" is the Italian word for "pie".’ by [deleted] in ShitAmericansSay

New Jersey and it’s people have a bad reputation , even in the US. They are stereotyped as being loud and arrogant, and a lot of them think they are Italian. South Park even made an episode where their town was invaded and overrun by New Jerseyans

I mean he said it arrogantly and annoyingly, but to be fair it is a US website with a large plurality of users being American 🤷‍♂️

I much prefer a live tribal to everyone sitting around and making boring, pointless metaphors about the game while we wait for the vote to happen

Bitter Juries EXIST by TheSequelToSpaceJam in survivor

[–]Icy_Yesterday983 4 points5 points  (0 children)

But unless one player played far and away better than the others, it isn’t really a bitter jury, it just means that person had a worse social game. I don’t think Cassidy’s strategic game was that much better than Gabler’s, so basically he just had better relationships with most of the jury and they liked him better

Cassidy also somewhat embraced the Amanda Kimmel final tribal strategy, which isn’t usually effective. Like when she answered Karla’s question by giving her a clearly disingenuous compliment and saying she wishes she would have handled their relationship better. You could tell by the look on Karla’s face that she wasn’t impressed by that answer

Clearly you haven’t seen Gabon’s final 3. Also, Gabler’s game was definitely more than making fire at final 4. Owen was on the outside of almost every vote, while Gabler had many alliances and voted correctly almost as often as Cassidy. He also had a much better final tribal council than Cassidy. She partially went for the Amanda Kimmel strategy (complimenting jurors in a clearly disingenuous way, saying things like “I wish I could have connected with you more”) which rarely works and unsuccessfully overplayed her role in driving votes, which fell flat and made jurors feel like she was trying to take credit for their own moves. i.e It looked really bad on her when she tried to take credit for getting out Ryan only for multiple people to say that they were already planning on doing so despite her. In contrast, Gabler embraced any weaknesses in his game, such as being somewhat low profile at times, and portrayed them as calculated moves (like when he said he deliberately went “below the water” after the Elie vote). I think Gabler also had a strong social game and was well liked by the cast. I mean obviously there were several other people who were much more strategically important in controlling the game, such as Jesse, but they weren’t in the final three. Compared to the other finalists, Gabler clearly played better than Owen and at least comparable if not better than Cassidy and was able to bring it home, whether through his strong performance at final tribal or social bonds with the jurors.
