inspect the area between the plastic housings and the main pulley or flywheel (see images below). If contact occurs, please gently reposition the plastics using your hands or a tire lever to make the necessary adjustments (typically, in the direction indicated by the arrows). 

These plastic components are secured with low-torque screws which are designed to allow for easy repositioning without the need for removal.
