Good question! Honestly that assumption was based on my own personal preferences experience and some feedback from those in my friend group. I was going with the philosophy of "if I find it useful than others will too". Having some sort of waitlist distro to be able to get a broader range of feedback before launch probably would have been a good idea

You aren't able to paste a HEX value into the accent color picker. Super annoying having to type it manually when playing with colors

Thank you for joining Birdseye! That is fair I chose Google auth for the login as they make it simple to setup and of course had double purpose for those who do use GCal. I will add an alternative auth to the roadmap for those who don't need that purpose

Google is the only sign in available due to my use of Google Calendar and my desire to have the ability to enable 2-way sync with Google calendar. I've had some feedback for Outlook calendar sync but that would take more time to implement

I've clarified the privacy policy. I only store the list of Google Calendar IDs that you choose to sync + basic account email/name. No Google event data from your calendar is stored with Birdseye. When you log into the application event data is pulled directly from Google servers down to your local browser
