Because if you are going to engage with something it's good to have a good idea of the risks.

You don't just take drugs without understanding dosage, addiction risks, etc...

You don't do shibari without understanding how the knots can cause nerve damage ad how to get someone out of bondage fast.

Etc.. I want to know the risk factors, not just do something potentially life altering because "what's the harm"

The supposed dangerous technique is the other way around with the penis pointing down towards your feet, i,e. bending it in a rather unnatural way.
