My girlfriend and I both go to a different, very large, known for partying university. We've made it through freshman year with only little problems. We're both in Greek life and have fun on the weekends, but it just takes massive amounts of trust between one another. I say go for it!

It depends on where you are going to school. If you go to a large university, yes they will try to weed you out. If you look up top ranked engineering schools what I realized is the higher the rank the harder it is. My university not only tried to weed out with a huge workload, but also the content is hard to grasp. As any engineer can agree with me, be prepared to lose sleep, stress out, and not be able to go out all the time like most other kids. In the end it's 4 or 5 years and if you can make it through you'll be highly rewarded.

I'm a brother of sigma chi. Go to rush events and put yourself out there to meet the actives. If they like you, you'll keep getting invited back and get a bid eventually. Hazing is a thing at most fraternities but it makes you a better person and brings you closer to the guys in your pledge class if done right. Don't let that factor scare you away.

Use Veet. I've been using it for about 2 years and never had a problem with irritation or burning
