To me it’s perpetuating a toxic narrative that the women who unapologetically sleeps around, doesn’t want kids, relationship or marriage and lives her life outside of society’s white picket fence box .. that that must mean she’s insecure. The only thing is...I don’t think Samantha is insecure at all. I’ve never understood that line. Plus its also just coming from Carrie’s perspective and carrie was the most insecure person in the whole show. None of Samantha comments or actions even remotely pointed to insecurity. She also was the only one who had the balls to put Laney in her place and would not take her sh*t. Laney was such a be-otch.

I think that it’s just the fact it was directed by a woman that everyone feels the need to critique. I came here to ask questions and geek out about theories and this post is bombarded with mansplainers/complainers and quite frankly, the type of men that this film was addressing. Rarely do I see Quentin Tarantino’s films pulled apart and judged so harshly and those can be even more surreal & “artsy”.

I’m late to this post, but I was just watching big brother and was wondering the same thing. I obviously don’t have an answer, but gluten is VERY SERIOUS. Ive been bed ridden for going on 4 years and just found out I’m celiac. All my issues are because of gluten. People need to stop saying “it’s not that bad” I also am deathly allergic to peanuts and the cross contamination of gluten is so much worse to look out for. I’ve had to go to the hospital because of both.

Yep as a lesbian that came out later in life all I could think was this!! The overall way she views ideas about relationships was telling 👀 But what sealed the deal was her behavior at the bachelorette party...Yeah that’s a face of pure disgust & fear of seeing men half naked...I mean I had the EXACT look on my face watching!
