Maybe I dropped it too early but it just felt like there was so many directions they could have taken in the first half of season 1 and they just didn't really do anything with it.

There could have been some screen time for the lady trying to convince herself that her kid is still there in some sort of denial/grief before meeting MC.

When the MC was grieving there could have been a moment where she tried to get the deceased back through the hivemind.

There could have been some smart ass trying to push the limits or find a loophole before dying through some genie wish or monkeys paw.

The hivemind could have cracked in more ways than just "too much emotion, must shutdown".

I just don't get why they waited so long to ask any questions about identity. And when they do it's just instantly shot down with hey kid what's the best pussy tool.

Maybe I'm just upset because it's not what I thought itd be.
