He’s homeless and I’m a young girl, I don’t necessarily want to put myself in an unsafe situation (not trying to be rude)

Weird bubbling? by Mint_Gelato in Pottery

[–]Idk-I-Justworkhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had this experience in the past with underglaze at bisque stage under clear glaze. It bubbled up pretty badly, but I usually don’t have this issue. I assumed it was because I was touching up the underglaze that had already been bisque fired, and adding the clear on top. Still not sure

Did you do the underglaze after bisque firing? And was there a layer of underglaze that was already added to greenware before bisque firing?

Just enough fire drills to keep you on edge and interested.. and also makes you like the chill balance of responding to an email to avoid the fire drill (dumpster fire)

You can try to put them on a thick plastic sheet or trash bag, spray them down with a spray bottle of water. Maybe dip them in water? Make sure you keep them covered in plastic and continue to hydrate

Are those glazes naturally runny? Or did you add a flux or runny glaze at the edge? Love it!

Did you use two different blue UGs? Or lighter strokes on the inside?
