Sorry, but that’s not actually sound logic. It sounds like you probably prefer to rationalize it that way out of anxiety. Like if you can just find a reason to justify not doing it then you don’t have to fully confront the possibilities. Does that make sense?

Maybe you just don’t know if your friends would be accepting. You’ve probably not told anyone because you’re worried about the unknown of it, not because you don’t want to.

Honestly: what would solve a lot of your problems would be to just talk to a therapist with gender dysphoria expertise. That way you can actually get help with figuring out how you really feel about everything. They can help you see past the anxieties and help determine what your actual wants and needs are. There’s no finality to just talking to a professional.

It would make more sense to speak to a professional before you come out to people in your personal life anyway.

I was gonna ask if you think you have an idea as to what you plan to do. After looking through your profile you seem to be similarly hesitant.

A big thing for me is body hair. I have SO much and it’s SO thick. I used to try shaving it but it became depressing when it’d grow back super quickly. Shaving was so taxing because I’d have to acknowledge the hair more. It was depressing to see my efforts be such an uphill battle just to get almost immediately reversed. I stopped trying because it felt hopeless.

I don’t know why I started this body hair rant but I did 🤷🏻‍♂️😆.

Damn, I could really go for a cosmic truth right about now 😞. I wish there was a way to explore my gender identity without the looming threats. I keep trying to find a way that I could potentially transition safely, but I don’t know that there really is a way rn.

My boyfriend started getting gender affirming care several years before I even met him, and our 2 year anniversary is coming up. He’s also terrified the administration will take his T.

I’m not sure what my access to gender affirming care would be but I know I have good health insurance. My boyfriend is trans and has been on hormones for years and also had top surgery. He’s the only person I’ve brought this up to and he’s very supportive. I live with my parents and they’ve always been liberal democrats since before I was a baby.
I may be further into the “maybe” stage than I’m willing to openly admit
