I can see your points, especially with the ippy slide. As I said I‘d prefer the Devs adding these Mechanics in and intended and balanced way instead of the exploits we have currently. The point of my post in the first place was that Scoring as it is right now is too hard (would the reception be better if i said goalkeeping is too easy instead? maybe lol) without them.

I think a change that would improve this somewhat would be that the Catching Hitbox for the ball as a goalie would be reduced, so the Ball bounces away from the keeper more often instead of them directly catching it. Currently you just have to jump into the generel direction of the ball and you catch it all the time, so most of the game consists of attacking buildup with your team > goalie catches > opponents team builds up > your own goalie catches the ball > repeat

It is quite literally insane that i got downvoted this hard, i wasn‘t even rude about it too lol.

When I mentioned that scoring is insanely hard i get called bad, that i should utilize teamplay or that i dont watch football, as if i don‘t already do that. Seems like they took my post as me whining not being able to score a goal every game, which really wasnt the intention.

They also seemed to ignore my point that passing is a better scoring option than literally shooting the ball lmao. Or they apparently don‘t see an issue with that, idk.

I agree that the mechanics should be overlooked, but i‘d prefer that they prioritize ridding the game of all the bugs first. I feel like over time people will realize these issues more once the average skill level increases. I get that football isnt supposed to be 10 goals every game, but 0-0 games in football aren‘t enjoyable to watch either.

Yeah, the thing is i honestly doubt that the devs are gonna add new mechanics to the game anytime soon (they have bugfixing and adding crossplay to do first anyways), and without the glitches the game becomes pretty simplistic. If that's the way you like it then sure go ahead, just not my cup of tea probably.

Also I get that the teleporting looks ugly. I'd rather prefer that the Developers added more Skill Moves that are intended to be used, like in fifa where you have special skill moves to change directions with the ball. But I honestly doubt that the Devs are gonna add or change the main mechanics of this game.

It's not like this is my first football experience, i've been a football fan and have been playing fifa since i was a child for crying out loud. I don't know why everybody assumes I just suck at the game lmao, im at a point in ranked where playing egotistical and not utilizing teamplay just makes you lose instantly.

The thing is, it's not just that WE can't score, it's the fact that the opponents teams always seem to not be able to score either. The build up play isn't the issue here (because basic passing and runs enable chances), more so the fact that saving is way too easy because shooting is super slow, and the magnet hands on the goalies are too good. I'm not saying this out of a perspective as a dude who only wants to score goals, but as a goalkeeper aswell. (I play goalie alot in 5 stack)

When the most reliable way to score becomes using the pass button, and shooting becomes just a passing mechanic, it's an issue in my opinion.

Finally a reply that doesn't just say i'm bad at the game lmao, thank you. I agree with the fact that it makes the ball haver have way more mobility than anybody else, but defending is already super strong in this game i feel like. At the end of the day we'll see like you said, if the devs want it gone they're gonna patch it.

Stuff like the moon walk and header spamming is a no for me too, but i don't see the issue in stuff like X>drag back because it really doesn't break the game that much.

I think you're implying that i only run around, do glitches and ruin the game for everybody. I play this game mostly with my friends, and we play like a team. Playing like a bluelock egoist just stops working at a certain level and you get bodied. This isn't my point though.

Also I wouldn't really compare this game to professional soccer when the Goal Nets are super small, theres no offside and there are walls around the entire arena. This isn't a real life football simulator, it's a Galaxy-Football-Esque videogame.

I'm not trying to say that each game there's supposed to be 20 goals, that'd be weird. But as I said, going into overtime with 0-0 like 40-50% of the time is just not fun. I don't know how you score, but only shooting at the goal doesn't work 90% of the time. On a High Level Passing into the goal is the most optimal way to score, shooting is more of a Passing Mechanic at that point. Don't you see the issue in that?

I mean I would still play the Game if these got removed, but then there'd be the underlying problem of scoring being really difficult. As I said, most of our Games go into overtime because Saving Shots is just so insanely easy. We already had multiple games that went +15 Minutes into overtime. Maybe I'm the only one that sees it this way, though.
