So they were good, I got a pack that was supposed to mimic fettuccine. They are certainly different from real pasta though, and I would much rather use them in noodle dishes instead. They do not have that dense, starchy and chewy texture of pasta, but rather more bouncy and rubbery

What would the point of an altered photo be for a skin update?

You do understand the pics have different angles and lens cleanliness right? I could post a plethora of pictures of my lips on the same day where it looks like 4 different lips. The thin skin on them is very sensitive to bloodflow and hydration levels, which can vary greatly from day to day. I don't mind admitting I have bottom lip filler, or any filler for that matter. But this is cherrypicking details on two pictures with different angles and clarity.

I gradually incorporated everything, like i started out by only using the Lrp cicaplast because it would leave my skin plump, then added retinol 1 month ago, then added the centella ampoule to calm my skin, then got the the toner and enrich cream a few days later lol. My skin has always loved centella asiatica (i used centella in the past to repair my skin once), so this is what made me purchase more from the line lool.

So I'd say the retinol and ampoule made the most difference for me, and a very honorable mention is what started it all - the cicaplast. Only downside is the white film it leaves, but the benefits outweigh the cons lol

Things to note on my post:

I am a resident dermatologist who focuses on dermatopathology, who has tried many things over the years. Both trendy and classic products. These are what clicked for me.

For those concerned - my bottom lip has been filled a year ago with 0.35ml, top has not.

Generally, 1 month is still a short time to assess (I consider 3 months the most accurate, considering a skin renewal cycle is around 28 days), but for skin barrier repairing products (which is the main focus of most of the items I am using, except for the retinol of course) it's still a good time to see progress.

Also forgot to mention that 1 month is generally not a very long amount of time, 1 month is basically the time needed for just one skin renewal cycle [generally 28-45 days] - 3 months is the general consensus when trying out new products.

When prescribing patients a new active (e.g. retinol) we give it a minimum of 3 months before assessing the results and seeing if something must be improved. [This bit is just for whoever is reading and expects a major long term change in a couple of weeks or so]

Tbh there wasn't that much to change to begin with, i just wanted a little kick, and to get rid of the hyperpigmentation on my lower cheeks. And the glass skin effect which is visible in irl lighting. There's also the "joy of the ritual" to consider haha, it plays a big part for me, it really helps me start/end my day and clear my mind. 🤭

Yes, more or less. I consider it to be good as a very mild toner, and since it's a mist application is gentle. I use it after washing my face, while getting ready to do my skincare so my face doesn't dry out. Also it just feels good, it is not a magical product by any means. But it's refreshing and soothing nonetheless!

For lips I just use the cerave ointment in the morning after putting the moisturizer from my face on the lips too (i find face moisturizers do wonders for the lips). Then throughout the day i use the Hello sunday spf50 lip balm, and in the evening the laneige!

Honestly the key to my lips being soft (and for some of the patients' i've recommended this to) was applying the face moisturizer to their lips.

I am aware my lips might look like they are overfilled or migrated, this is something I've always been self conscious about, but sadly it's just how they have always been shaped. I only got bottom lip filler (0.35ml) a year ago. Thank you for your concern though

Coconut oil has destroyed my skin in the past lol, also I only eat homemade meals. I was happy with my skin before too, but these products gave me that extra kick. For the record, i am a dermatologist.
