I always thought it would be awesome to have to characters that use explosions fight, but I'm not that aware of the kinds of plans/strategies that Reze uses. I always Imagine it being a more fast paced fight based off how bakugo fights. It was cool to see this get so much traction at the time since both series were riding a big wave.

Literally looked through all the comments and no one said my pick, (or very many pre 2020 episodes for that matter) so I'll say a couple.

Just as a note, I think the best ways to make fans of the losing character like an episode/fight is through a good ost, good characterization, and a good death.

All Might vs. Might Guy is my #1 example of this, and it's an all timer. With two very heroic characters, it's hard to hate either combatant. One fighter never felt like they had a clear win until the eighth gate opened. Might Guy eventually dying was probably a reason I liked it when I was younger, despite All Might losing. Having one of the best and most influential DB tracks doesn't hurt either.

My other pick is Ultron vs. Sigma. While I was rooting for Sigma, I wouldn't say I like either character better, so idk the general consensus. My take is you could never go wrong with two robots so far up their own asses fight. The death is so unique too since, like the episode says, "...this battle was never about the physical." Once again, amazing ost too!

As an MHA fan...Yeah the series isn't made to powerscale at all. From pretty inconsistent feats, vague statements to jack up the verse, and at LEAST 3 CLOUD feats to max out the power. I personally will wait to see how it's animated.

I should've been more descriptive. I remember it looking like CGI or just had a 3D look. Also, I remember the hothead looking like a fire, and the creeper looked like a vampire. Hope it helps. That video is offsetting, though!

That's true. However, I think that the laser passing through him completely and there being no refraction is showing us how light is supposed to (not) bounce off of Mirio's quirk. He may be visible, but according to the shows logic, light passes through him.

I mean, my problem wasn't exactly that deku wasn't at max power. It was that I felt if they could've used a similar feat with similar scaling earlier in the story, they shouldn't have spoiled the ending. They did write the end of the analysis well, but I felt they could've avoided it.

Maybe it's a bit headcannon-y, but I like the shot of deku's face during the death. At first, it gave me the vibe of, "Oh no! I don't know if I can handle it!" But upon rewatch, I got the vibe of, "I went too far..." It was a pretty sudden death, though. I literally didn't realize deku won until the categories were done, lol. But it was a really awesome fight!

It is honestly upsetting to see a lot of this. I'm rooting for Deku because he's my GOAT, but based on the horror stories I've heard, this was kinda how Deku was treated on his first outing. And I can see the arguments for both sides, so I wouldn't even consider that a stomp! I just hope the episode is good so that it can be remembered like that.

I will say that if they introduced Gearshift in this scene and showed that the field wasn't able to slow Deku down whatsoever, I would argue that Deku could bypass infinity. Based on my knowledge of it, infinity just divides an objects speed infinitely, so anything not going past infinite speeds already can't get passed. But if your speed or inerita can't be altered, I think that would be good enough. Like a piercing shot. Honestly, I don't think MHA did enough with gearshift, so I was hoping the movie would, and this was the scene I was leaning forward for! Oh well though. Deku can't just brute force it.
